  • 💭 Preparing Chief for its first trip off the jack stands, I finished a few more task before attempting to load it on the back of Ford Ranger. This is a first time situation but a necessary one to get Chief its custom fabricated exhuast. Its on the way out of state to have this done. ✌🏾

What you’re doing with his motorcycles but it was just so obvious I had to pointed out and I didn’t read no comments but you’re doing great work keep it up you got some bad ass bikes. Yes I’m a Harley rider, but I love all motorcycles so I respect what you’re doing brother keep it up much love💯🤘🏽

    Damn! My butt was puckering while you walked that bike up the ramp. I've done that a lot when I was younger and I can say that it is not a matter of if but when you lose control of the bike and it lays over. I've moved to a ramp that I can walk up with the bike.

    Believe it or not, that Ford Ranger is the only Ford, I would ever purchase! Had one when I was in the Army, and I beat that thing up, driving it between Ft. Polk, to Ft Rucker, Miami, Ga, and Houston, and it took it like a champ! Can’t say that for their newer trucks, but I will swear to that 87!

    Talk about being surprised by a Ford Ranger, I had a friend in high school that had one, and he got it from a guy that actually did drift competitions with it. I don’t remember what engine it had, I know the 4.0 is the big one for the Ranger, but his was the one below it. Anyway the engine in that truck absolutely had some work done to it, I kid you not that truck would scream to 140+ mph like nothing, it was incredible. Lots of burnouts, and fun were had with it. Unfortunately, my friend wanted a 4x4 ranger, so he traded it. The 4x4 ranger had the same engine and could barely get near 100.
    Also, a tip for hauling motorcycles extra securely, I have the same harbor freight wheel chock you have bolted to a 3/4 sheet of plywood. When I move a bike with the truck, I bolt the plywood to the truck bed with two 5/16 bolts. Then you can get the bike up there in the wheel chock, and you also strap the bike to the chock. Since the weight of the bike is on top of the plywood, it really make it secure. I can fit two bikes like this on the back of a F-250, and have been on several 1,000 miles plus trips loaded like that, no issues.

  • @jasonshortphd
    @jasonshortphd Год назад +1

    Get yourself a couple milk crates to help you step up on the bed. That one big step might eventually not be quite enough. :) I usually just put two straps on the forks, don't even both with anything on the frame. And a wheel chuck in the bed would be a good investment since it looks like you going to be doing this a bit more.
