    That was a great build mate. I particularly liked the use of the router bits for the joins, instead of trying to work angles. Will give this a try, but will need to use pine as we don’t have your timbers here. Thanks for posting this. Cheers

      Thanks mate, it's a fun build. If you go with pine you could try Shou Sugi Ban, the Japanese method of burning/torching the wood to increase rot resistance. Could be a a fun addition and the barrel would look amazing!

      @@GreenhillForge had a look at SSB and that is pretty much what coopers do when making barrels, they often burn them out before putting the lid on, probably for the same reason as you mentioned. Cheers
