Cats have a higher frequency of hearing then we do. Once a train gets so close to us we can hear the vibrations in the rail prior hence the griding sound before the train actually gets to you. Being ribbon rail this vibration is carried much further but at a frequency we can't hear but they can therefore he was distracted from whatever it was he was watching and left.
Cool fact that’s why the cat got off the tracks before he even saw the train
This starts out with a nice fat woodchuck packing on the pounds for winter, a train savvy cat, and ends with a stallion pulling a long train of container cars. A nice nature video. ( LOL )
Love the horns on the NS SD70ACe's
Hello from Cornwall. Despite other comments, I really appreciate the way you combine trains and Mother Nature in your videos. Please don’t stop doing that. Your videos are very well made and the animals add a great counterpoint to graffitied box cars and endless dirty tankers.
Today’s video is a perfect example. One locomotive pulling 100+ intermodal cars, all of them EMPTY!! Could there be anything more boring?? The ground hog made the video interesting. Thank you for all railfan/animal lovers. CAS
Thx!
Big Baretable Train
Cool cat and smart to move from the tracks. I like the SD70ACe engines I have three on my layout. Thanks for sharing.
Oh, what scale do you have?

LOVE the fore footage!!!!
Nice and imaginative in the recognition that mankind is NOT alone
I love that one engine pulling all those bare table cars Was going pretty fast through that neighborhood before he started braking his speed. Great video with the beaver and the cat. Very nice footage.
thanks always!
Long but light
Excellent video of yours Sr!!!
👍👏👍📹👍👏👍
Infallible trains and a little wildlife!!!
That is very big groundhog wow. That cat did rite thing get off the track. Even though cats have nine life to live. Nice Norfolk southern locomotive. Pretty neat that one SD70 unit pull all those cars by his self.with no help
Cat: *Hears train horn*
Cat: Ight ima head out ✌🏾
Great video ! I love the ACEs the most ! Keep the great content!
2:26 "Oh shoot, there's a train coming i should get off the tracks!"
Great channel! and thanks for being one of my long time subscribers really appreciate it!
That’s a nice horn shot from far away. Awesome.
Excellent video! I like the cat and its soo cute😍👍🏽 and nice catch of the ns train and that NS SD70ACE looks like that is built new and I like that noise of the train
Cool, thanks!
@@BaltimoreAndOhioRR 5:24 this part of noisy train is my favourite
Epic capture of the groundhog, Chessie the cat🐱 and the big ACe leading the empty baretables. That horn is loud and fiesty, I love it. Great video! 🚂😸
That was one big woodchuck. I used to see them at Fort Devens all the time. The cat should be given a home. If it's not feral. Another awesome video.
Heard a little kid in the background, probably the cat's pet hooman, and nice video of the groundhog manicuring it's grass so they don't have to use Weed-B-Gone. Shuffle them empty tables to where they're useful.
*the way that swung on that curve!* love the video sir!
Literally 10 minutes ago I saw the Baltimore and Ohio 175th anniversary Caboose go by on a CSX welded Rail train here in Dunkirk New York
Wow
@@BaltimoreAndOhioRR I have a pic I wish RUclips allowed picture responses in the comments
Says Baltimore and Ohio Railroad right on the side, would be a cool pic for you to use
Wow
Bro I love the pov getting close to a Norfolk Southern Sd70ace leading an intermodel
Good thing that cat heard the train horn after it looking at you and your camera. 2:25
😻
One time I saw a Union Pacific Southern Pacific heritage unit pull a lone train like this one.
Fearsome locomotive! I liked the ground hog and the cat, too.
Cool, thanks!
Oops, I'm sorry, getting old, forgot all about the cat's name! Bet it's "CHESSIE", after the C&O's cat mascot emblem. How soon we forget that stuff.
Even cats are afraid of trains
everyone else: focuses on sd70acu
me: focuses on giant rat and cat ._.
That 70 is putting in work!!!!
Awesome! I love the K5LLA horns they have
I subscribed to you
Hi B&O🚂🚂🚂 !Thanks for sharing my friend, really interesting new

Whenever you hear a Nathan K5LLA you pretty much always know it's an SD70ACe leading
Lol, ive heard one on a Dash 9 before, hell, ive seen a GP40 with one before
@@iftheytakeyourgunsgiveemyo7057 Yes but it’s very very rare to see anything but an SD70ACE with one
Neato catch! I've not seen an empty train before.
Is it just me, or have more single engine trains been running these days? Perhaps it's a part of the general restructuring of how freight trains run in this country.
Comrade Charlotte Well IQ4 (extra 24Q) is a baretable train and usually runs with one engine. This is due to the fact that empty wells are light.
Precision Scheduled Railroading.
That locomotive is strong
Nice shot, and at the beginning, that was so cute 😁😁😁👍👍👍
Great catch as always, and I love SD70ACes. Have the best train horns too
Thank you very much!

Wht didn't you show the back of this beautiful locomotive?I was hoping to at least get. A rear shot of this unit doing what she was designed to do!pulling trains!
Great video! Funny how the cat got off the second the horn started blowing.
Yes, thanks
How one engine pulling all of those flat beds. That's amazing.
Empty well cars are pretty light weight not surprising to see just one engine.
That and modern engines are almost perfect.
4,000 horses 😂
That was an awesome catch Dave!!
Best sounding horn ever!
Sd70ace, superb
I live 5 minutes from here on rt.7. Cool video nice seeing 1 unit don't see that too often

A fantastic catch!
Thank you very much!
The beaver enjoys being filmed...the cat got off the tracks at the right time...there is plenty of graffiti on this train...enjoy the rest of your day, Dave.
Don't need permission, neither from the groundhog, nor the railroad.
Nope
fantastic train video
Awesome Catch Dave!!
Nice K5LLA!
Yo man! I love your videos because I love trains! Also, Roblox has some trains around so I’ll find some soon! ;)

Pull! How in United State a locomotive Emd Sd70ace in Norfolk Southern stand Pull up 128 wagons.
In Brazil are two or more locomotives to load 140 wagons.
Nice too meet you
Rochester in Brazil
A big hug
HOW COME YOU DIDN'T SHOW THE LOCOMOTIVE GOING AWAY FROM THE CAMERA?IT WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE TO HAVE SEEN THE BACK OF THE LOCOMOTIVE, AS SHE WAS GOING BY!
someone was standing directly to my left.
They're called bare tables when it's empty well cars.
SD70 vs. AC4400?? Which locomotive??
I like SD70ACe locomotives

Nice Dave! What camera do you use to record your videos, they look great!
beautiful empty NS train - there was a men camera across the track - LOL
What kind of sleepers are used in American railroads?? Are those concrete sleeper or iron sleepers??
These are wood
@@BaltimoreAndOhioRR thanks for the answer, are there any concrete sleeper used in railroads?? Or only wooden sleeper used there??
@@nabarunbiswas7462 most of the heavy freight lines are wooden, and of course the older tourist places. our "NEC" line, which is our high speed rail, uses concrete, and some of the freight lines use concrete at specific locations, in some switching areas. some of our larger city "modern" commuter lines are concrete. i have seen a few random lines to use steel ones in small specific locations, but i dont think those are widely used anywhere over here.
@@BaltimoreAndOhioRR thank you very much, it's clear to me that US still uses wooden sleeper for majority of their tracks
Thanks for the information
nice video my friend, thumbs up 👍👍
thank you for sharing, success and good luck 😉😉
Im old to this thread...but why did Norfolk Southern retire the SD70
