- Unwrapping 2 brand new ferro cassette and only got 1 chrome cassette. The Type I cassette tape isn’t hard to find in any Indonesian’s marketplaces. But, Type II is way too much hard to find. Luckily I found that one.
And do not expect for Type IV, it’s crazily hard to find here. Or even worse, it’s totally extinct in Indonesia. Purchasing internationally (it’s findable in Malaysia) isn’t worthy for someone like me. Due to exchange rates and the Indonesian customs will hit ~130% crazy taxes.

I when nobody wanted cassettes they were going to incinerate all cassettes in a big surface warehouse a friend phoned me and 200kms(1h30mnts) later i was there, brought all i could fit in my biggest car a mercedes 350SE from 1971,filled it with TDK SA-X and SA´s also UX-PRO from SONY don´t know how many but still have big boxes closed with packs and boxes of 10 (TDK) some thousands and only in 2017 started to record cassettes again after restoring three of my best decks and easier to change belts, already recorded 97 compilations of my favorite songs
You should compare the Maxell XLIS to the UR instead of the XLIIS

i think i prefer the XLI-S to the XLII-S this in the best decks made ever, but both of my favorite cassettes, in cheaper cassette decks you notice the diference more but in very good ones it depends on the source
try to buy type 4 at ebay. ask seller send a gift to you after paymen)) no problem with customs)
Hmm ... Indonesian's customs is a 'real thing' bro, also about exchange rate. Unless if I go work abroad (and I will very soon) it won't be a big deal anymore.

the least favorite cassettes are the metal ones and the SONY XS and XR are cheaper than the UX-S or the same price when new ,i think it says all, but the SONY Metal Master before the Metal-ES and the TDK MA-XG were the best also the oldie BASF Metal IV(82), i have thousands of recordings and metal tapes were never the best maybe in cheaper decks but also worn out faster the heads so type I good cassettes are without a doubt the best, AD,AR,AD-X from TDK Maxell UR ,XLI-S c60 prefarable or the before 85 basf LH-EXTRA I, you with a good deck can´t notice diference from a maxell UR to a TDK SA-X depending on the source
the last UR was still a good cassette but the XLII-S ARE BADLY BUILT AS ALL OTHERS WITH GREY CASING ,are in reality deck destroyers ,you can record and listen but soon to have your deck destroyd then blame the deck
