I kind of see it like Ford V Nixon. A pardon was actually better for the country. She still wanted it to all play out though and that we see what he knew & what he did. But yeah I wasn't particularly a fan of the pardon.

He's never won a popular vote, and you need a certain percentage of the popular vote to secure electoral college.
