Jake Madison says if the Lakers hire JJ Redick to be their next coach then the Pels should defer their 2024 draft pick to 2025. I honestly don’t see the Lakers collapsing anytime soon because with Bron on the roster there’s the obligation to swing for the fences as much as possible so I don’t see the pick from them being that valuable this year or the next

Pels should defer the pick regardless of who the Lakers hire because it’s an extremely weak draft and the odds of drafting a quality player at 17 in this draft is slim to none
I have been saying defer for a while. The only reason to take the LAL pick this year is if it was top 4. 2025 pick is just more valuable in trades or in just taking the player with the pick.
Definitely defer the pick, surely that pick shouldn’t be much higher in even the worst case and it’ll be in a better draft class. Best case scenario it could be a really good pick if Lebron leaves to play with his son… we all know AD isn’t good enough to carry to team into good seeding himself

I think it depends on what center they might want to pick up in this draft. The guy might be available for pick 17, but not for pick 21. You mentioned earlier several good big men the Pels could draft as a starter to take JV's place. They can't wait until next year for that.

i really think we should try and get the Detroit players like Marcus Sasser or James Wiseman... James Wiseman is 7'1 and a young athletic big man and can shoot an dribble.. and Marcus Sasser is a aggressive pg who can score aggressively.. He like a lil slower Tyrese Maxey... From doing my research in Pistons chat rooms the reason why Ivey is even available cause Sasser is a better Pg..... matter fact they benched Ivey mid season for Sasser but brought Ivey back in the starting lineup cause he was literally a top pick....Pels fans go on youtube an look up James Wiseman against Celtics and look up any game with Marcus Sasser... i really think we can get these players without really giving up alot of assets....
