I have been a Metallica fan since like 1994 when I was 15 and I personally think Load and Reload are two of their best. I bought both day one: Load in June of 1996, and Reload November of 1997. Fucking epic, both
One of the the most mind boggling lyrics ever, when I was a kid. Things started to become clearer the older I got. The "Blood for Face, Sweat for Dirt, Three X's for the Stone" bit has always been so profound to me, that I took my user name from it. Brilliant & underrated, the whole damn album.
or how he goes from the hopeful "fall in love with life again" to the desperately begging for it all to stop with "no more pins in me" my god... that hits hard.
Some days I hide in my father's line Afraid to shake the cold off of this spine Fever comes and fever goes Numbness felt between my toes Visions real that n'one believe Magical miracles do deceive Cannot run away again No where to go, blood lining thin I call out alone to the silence Not even my own voice answers me You're no Fixxxer. You're no Fixxxer to me.
With Mama Said on Load talking about his mother and this masterpiece on Reload about his father, it paints a bleak picture of James' childhood...I knew he didn't have a good relationship with his parents but holy shit he must have REALLY hated them...
What an epic song. Cant get loud enough. I remember listening to this song as a 12yr old when this album came out and wondering why I got chills/goosebumps. Still get em.
@Conrad Nickelson What do you consider the mediocre ones? I'm just curious since Load and ReLoad are my favorite albums from them. The two I can think of that people consider shit songs from those albums are Wasting My Hate and Slither.
Lo and behold. I had no idea that this gem lay hidden in the dogturd that is REload... This is deep, bleak stuff, quite arty, actually. I love it. This reminds me of so many dark moments in my life... James' vocals are just perfect.
When you look at just metallica yeah it is bad, but oh boy when you look at the bigger picture you are just picking out the worst in the best of the best.
The issue with these two albums and this era of the band's history isnt that they're bad albums, it's that there's a lot of filler on them. If they'd condensed and included the best 10 to 12 songs it would have been a masterpiece. Alas, we have 2 mediocre albums.
This is probably the deepest song they ever did. Bleeding Me, Outlaw Torn, Until It Sleeps, and Fixxxer. The big four of the gut-wrenchers James wrote. Maybe Unforgiven 1 and 3, I'll put them up there too. But those 4 are untouchable.
Ya know I ignore load and reload for a long time but once they played this song live and I saw it I can't stop listening to this one over and over. Listened to it every day since the live version was posted
Load and ReLoad helped me make it through some really tough days following a very tragic event involving my son. For myself, Metallica holds great value. Load and ReLoad masrerpieces of art..

Finally the most underrated song ever fixxxer gets a mention, when I first heard it all the way through I couldn't believe everyone didn't know it. It's stupid it isn't more known.
It's because there are "true Metallica fans" who only think this band does thrash and can only make thrash. I apprecciate this album and Load because I see it from it's genre.
I have the reload and ...and justice for all cd,personally I would pop this CD into my player before ...and justice for all any day, I love ...and justice for all but this one is so good, can't understand why people hate this album.

I think this track is the best on the album although Fuel, Memory remains, Unforgiven 2 and Low man's lyrics are also pretty good
or how he goes from
the hopeful "fall in love with life again"
to the desperately begging for it all to stop with "no more pins in me"
my god... that hits hard.
Some days I hide in my father's line
Afraid to shake the cold off of this spine
Fever comes and fever goes
Numbness felt between my toes
Visions real that n'one believe
Magical miracles do deceive
Cannot run away again
No where to go, blood lining thin
I call out alone to the silence
Not even my own voice answers me
You're no Fixxxer. You're no Fixxxer to me.
MetalFaceOff WTF is this bullsheet?
Chris a good read
Nice!
Badass
Rest in peace my friend 😂😂😂😂😂
OMG this song is so underrated
With Mama Said on Load talking about his mother and this masterpiece on Reload about his father, it paints a bleak picture of James' childhood...I knew he didn't have a good relationship with his parents but holy shit he must have REALLY hated them...
I have a tattoo with the word Fixxxer on my arm ... and the metallica word (gothics letters) on my back ... I love this fucking song ...
What an epic song. Cant get loud enough. I remember listening to this song as a 12yr old when this album came out and wondering why I got chills/goosebumps. Still get em.
Both load and reload have always been freaking awesome 🤟🏾
They played it!
Proving once again, they listen to their fans
Weak crowd reaction. "and that's why we don't play it live £
BADASS SONG. How comes that i never heard it !!!
Load and Reload are two of the best albums Metallica has ever produced 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻 back in the day of real METAL.🔥🔥🔥
Last song on Reload. Gets you thrashing all over again & you have to restart the album. Sooo underrated.
Man we should talk more about Kirk's playing in this... So creepy, it fits so well!
I really love this song, dont know why everyone hates this albums.
'cause fans change usually like direction of wind
No, I love this song and the albums. We are thousands, the problem is that newbies fans are millions ... :(
I love Load & Reload!
Demon Rantz i even love st anger
Dogturd?
This is probably the deepest song they ever did. Bleeding Me, Outlaw Torn, Until It Sleeps, and Fixxxer. The big four of the gut-wrenchers James wrote. Maybe Unforgiven 1 and 3, I'll put them up there too. But those 4 are untouchable.
The metallica drummer is just 🔥 as hell
It takes anguish to feel this song...
To feel this album.
Deep anguish and contortion of self.
Wrought by others and self alike.
I’ve been a Metallica fan for 16 years and I’ve just listened to this now. What took me so long?!
Ya know I ignore load and reload for a long time but once they played this song live and I saw it I can't stop listening to this one over and over. Listened to it every day since the live version was posted
I find myself listening to this album over and over. Week after week. Month after month. Never gets old! Perfection!!
there aint music like this these days
Exactly yes
I come here at least once a day. Easily the best song of Metallica's Load/ReLoad era for me🤘🤘
I thought, in 4:04 that James Said "Hammett"
Wow I am not the only one who thought it
+ 1
I used to believe he said "dammit!" but it was the "tell me" part
As a 32 years Metallica fan I only can say: I love this song. Remembered my childhood.
Some People: "You Sold Out!"
Jason Newsted: "Yeah We Sold Out...Sold Out Every Show."
I love all of Metallica s albums they have all played a big part in memorys in my life would love to here this live
The gods have readed our prayers ...
22 years listening to tallica
And everyday for us something new
\,,/
Load and ReLoad helped me make it through some really tough days following a very tragic event involving my son. For myself, Metallica holds great value. Load and ReLoad masrerpieces of art..
Highly underrated song. If this song wouldve been on a more popular album, this song wouldve been alot bigger. Bet it wouldve been on the radio.
Right now what you are finally experiencing is what only james and the band was experiencing back then.....it all makes sense now....Metallica forever people🤘🏼
i love it...it helps me and will only help others that truly suffer life's torture
🤘
Finally the most underrated song ever fixxxer gets a mention, when I first heard it all the way through I couldn't believe everyone didn't know it. It's stupid it isn't more known.
These days I've been listening Load and ReLoad albums and all I can say thanks Metallica for these masterpieces!
Load/reload are miss understood there not bad albums there good albums
It's because there are "true Metallica fans" who only think this band does thrash and can only make thrash. I apprecciate this album and Load because I see it from it's genre.
They are not good albums, they are amazing albums.
Man, Load and ReLoad are great albums, most of the songs on these albums are my favorite
6:37 sounds like Dave Mustaine on steroids
Hahahahahah its trueee!!!
Since this album is turning 20 years old this year, I hope they play this live at some point.
No more,
No more pins in me..
so tell me, can you heal what father's done?
can you heal the broken worlds within
?
can you strip away so we may start again?
tell me, can you heal what father's done?
here comes the pins!
Load and reload is the best album's of Metallica. Enough said.
i just love the music and lyrics! Hope they play this song live soon.
They've been doing Unforgiven II now so let's hope they do this next.
The lyrics are actually so genius
This song is so underrated. Everything about it is fantastic, especially the main riff. Metallica are the masters of low-key bangers like this.
THE GREATEST BAND EVEA LOVE THEM!!!
A masterpiece, after here it's live debut.
One of my favorite Metallica songs in high school. God it's so Good
I have the reload and ...and justice for all cd,personally I would pop this CD into my player before ...and justice for all any day, I love ...and justice for all but this one is so good, can't understand why people hate this album.
don´t worry about rates, just be happy you can enjoy it.
Those bends always give me goosebumps. Awesome song!
James 's vocals is hypnotising ❤
This song from my school time)))))
Great!!!!
I`m from Russia/
I used to listen to this song driving to school so many times!
Салам братан
I found an error in the description! It said this album was called Fixxxer!
