for clarification, the added function from the AZ09 to the AZ10 is the spacious mode which gives it like your in a car or concert hall stage, I think you have described the modes a little bit off, 3 taps on the right module activates high performance mode which only drop downs the latency which is good for when playing games, 3 taps again on the right activates spacial mode which can somehow be used in gaming (more expirementing as I have DOLBY ATMOS on and GAME MODE of Samsung) and videos or movies, and when 3 taps on the left module, it goes to full power mode which somehow boosts audio, like increases frequency or volume (if thats the right words), different from High Performance Mode. Thats what I have noticed from my AZ10 and AZ09. Improved connection too

How is the Connection stability? my AZ09's drop out a lot, or they go slightly out of sync for a couple seconds before going back into sync.
Didnt knew of the AZ10s before I bought my AZ09 Pro, primary thing I noticed though is the lack of APTx on the AZ10 vs the AZ09 Pro. I wonder how does the AZ09 Pro compare with the AZ10 really.

Does the Az10 have Qualcomm Qcc3040 chip like the Az09 Pro. I'm in the midst of comparing the 2. Not sure which to get
it's not stated in the specs on what chip is inside so not sure on this.
BTW normal az09 also got high performance and full power modes on 3 taps of each side. So all you actually gain is 3d sound.
and also the az10 can change to low latency mode which the az09 doesn't have.
I have a pair of AZ09s, they have the low latency mode but no simulated surround sound & no mic. I think.

Nope, it’s a different effect from airpods, this one is more of adding effects sonically instead of technically, if that makes sense.

Those paired to the ZS10 Pro for example must be the wireless audiophile dream.
In fact I think that setup would replace my Galaxy Buds Plus. They are great wireless earbuds but their sound does not satisfy me anymore. You have to use the Dynamic EQ Preset for them to not sound like the cheap wired earbuds phones usually come with. This is not ideal because having to use an EQ preset for me to hear everything these earbuds would simply not properly reproduce without EQ is not optimal.
You cant artificially create treble detail and bass using EQ when the drivers simply wont do it properly on their own.
So should I buy this?

Does the az10 sometimes drop the sound like the az09 does?(cause mine does). What do you think about dt300 vs aria in soundstage?
so far i have walked around with it and my phone in my pant's back pocket, no drop signal so far so good.
You tried different mobiles? From my expirience it's phone dependant not adapters. Got 3 phones and only one drops signal from az09 and Pro version also.
I am pairing the AZ09 Plus to my Samsung Galaxy S10+ without any drop-off issue while in unobstructed ~10m range. Phone is set to HD audio quality. The AZ09 Plus is using BT5.2 with QCC3040 chipset, which I understand is quite solid in terms of signal quality. I assume the AZ10 would have at least similar performance to the AZ09 Plus; However, the AZ09Plus does specifically advertise QCC3040 and aptxHD codec, while both the AZ10 and the AZ09 do not. Unclear if this is a spec difference or just product positioning/advertising.
Also, when paired to my PC with PCIE AX200 BT 5.0 card, the AZ09 Plus has very good connectivity without drop off interference.
@@jb678901 simple az10 does not use 3040 so does not have APTX. So az09 pro is still better than az10.

I get some on the left piece. When listening to quiet music, or listening music quiet, there is a wierd noise that I can hear. Kinda like digital hum. When I pause the music, it's still there for couple of seconds, and after that it's gone, until you play music again. Right one is free of that.
Does spatial audio improve sound stage and seperation while listening to music?
It will give you sense where the room becomes bigger and wider. It’s a digital effect that is added to the sound being produced.
I just bought it, and upon seeing the spatial audio effect here, I tried it. It ruined the music tbh. I'd stick to normal and high-power mode instead.

I'll be doing some hack and slash when my az10 lands diy QDC to b pin since god knows when they start selling normal 2 pin version of az09 Pro or az10..
good idea, once you remove that shroud the adapter will be able to be used with any iem with two pin connectors, brilliant.

it will compromise on sound quality and this will definately affect the overall technicalities of the sound.

1) is there any hissing / whining sound when there is no audio playing?
2) does the low latency / lag mode works on iOS?
1) no hissing 2) yes it does, I personally am using ios.

Yes it is, but once you turn on gaming mode the lag is almost gone.

Nope it doesn’t have, the iem itself seals off most of the ambiant sound already.

@@ianfann yes you are right bass shortens like limiting, using with kz zex and edx pro
ah yes, that's the shortcoming of bluetooth. digital signal being sent across to your iem thru bluetooth is in a small package and a lot of information is lost thus your music may sound less resolving.

Are these compatible with other IEMs like the Moondrop Aria? I think the pins are slightly further apart on the Arias.

I wonder if they’ll come out with adapters? It’s kinda ridiculous that it doesn’t come with any. I guess you can have multiple pairs of these but it would be best suited with connectors for most IEM.

If you’ve not had a Bluetooth adapter before and if you have a lot of qdc iems I encourage you to get this.

Mic is ok, but i find the cca btx mic a little better.
How does the performance of the AZ10 compared with the AZ09 Pro? In terms of pricing, I think the AZ10 would be closer to the AZ09 Pro than the AZ09, thus making the AZ09 Pro a fairer comparison.
i don't have the AZ09 pro to compare so a bit hard to answer your question but i would say the ability to change modes is the advantage of the AZ10
Both are BT5.2 , AAC/SBC, TWS+. Both have high performance (game/low latency) mode [3 clicks right], Both have high power mode [3 clicks left]. AZ10 has an additional spatial mode.
Both use the skin friendly and softer silicone earhook. Most of the buttons controls are the same.
Both have same battery capacity on earhook and case.
AZ09Pro has the less flashy silver-white KZ logo on black design without the fluorescent green colors of the AZ10. Also, the AZ09 Pro buttons are same as non-pro AZ09 and smaller than buttons on AZ10.
AZ09Pro advertises CVC and aptxHD with QCC3040 chipset. AZ10 does not advertise these features.
AZ10 has spatial audio feature, AZ09 Pro does not.
I chose to buy a second set of the AZ09Pro at only US$26 on discount (first set cost me $37). Almost half the price of the AZ10.

@@jb678901 OMG, where did u get the AZ09 Pro from for US$26 and which IEM did u pair it with?! And thanks for making the comparison, on paper at least the AZ09 Pro should have better audio performance. Hopefully someone who has tried both can share his/her actual experience here.
The AZ09 has been horrible for me. Charging is very unreliable. Sometimes the earbuds will seat in the case for hours and not charge. The connection is pretty weak. I can't even put the phone in my pocket. What's the point of bluetooth 5.2 if I can't maintain a connection even a few feet away? I'm definitely not buying anything other than a name brand next time.
you should have been honest in your review about microphones. they are definitely garbage as sound barely heard.
