good job!! one thing i’d say tho: ur doing shotokan karate, which if u plan to use karate to defend yourself one day, it’ll be highly unlikely if u use shotokan
as a black belt in shotokan karate , i disagree with you as it has helped me in self defence alot and karate in general makes you physically and mentally stronger
@@yoboyjerome_543Sorry for making you feel that way! I don’t mean it like how i said it, as i struggle to get my point across. What i meant is: Shotokan is effective, and it’s a good style nonetheless. It’s just traditional karate has influence from Chinese martial arts also, which makes it quite effective. I’m sure you have heard of Tekki Shodan form/kata? Turns out, the traditional style of that has Wing Chun aspects that were suited to the Okinawan needs. I’m not saying that Shotokan isn’t effective, i’m expressing how traditional karate took more influence from other martial arts, which makes it quite versatile, whereas in Shotokan, it (to the extent of my knowledge) doesn’t touch upon it as much. I’m sure that some shotokan dojos do, but in general i’ve heard that they don’t touch upon it as much. Sorry for making you feel that way and best regards! ❤
Look for a new dojo because this one is a full mcdojo since your stance, height of punches and just everything is done the wrong way.
