Never got to see Stevie in concert. My husband went to high school with him. A year behind, but they hung out in the same place-the back room of a head shop in Oak Cliff. Stevie went on to be the world's greatest guitarist and my husband became a Ringling Brothers clown, David Lee Roth's bodyguard and an Ewok. No where near the same level, but that's life for you. They were both "bad boys" who made something of themselves on opposite ends of the spectrum. 😁
Was there, wanted to see Jeff Beck, was late, SRV blew me away! Got backstage for an autographed pic, just moved to TX from NY, so thankful that I saw this show and got to know SRV!!!!!
I was at this show he threw a pick out I thought someone caught it when the lights came on I was looking on the floor and found it I still have it.. I was just by Srv and Tommy on the floor this was a great show if you have the show at his Birthday a few years before that one he was really ill at and came back out after getting real sick and played an encore and blew the place down I miss Stevie alot...
Amen. One thing that made me admire Stevie so much is his undeniable faith in the Lord. His life is a testimony that God can see you through the fire and utilize you for good work.
I was randomly looking at Stevie's concert date and locations to try and find the places in Austin he played, I just so happened to come across this, today is 11/26/20.
Not only an extraordinary guitarist but also an excellent musician, he s got something to say when he plays, so many guitar slingers now a days are extraordinary guitarists but they got nothing to say, they ain’t musicians
It looks like the friggin music stores could make better pick then the one's that Stevie has dropped so many times trying to play his guitar..that upsets me when the guitars ain't cheap..Stevie Ray Vaughan always performs the best and everything is sensational on entertainment..terrific band..Rhythem and lyrics are going out to the fans and its phenomenal....BEST
Fender Medium and at this show they were blue with his name on them cause I got the pick he threw that night still. they tear after being played on thick strings Stevie had high action on his guitars...
@@ronfrey5327 I have one from '84, a white fender heavy, really worn. he handed it to me backstage during a meet'n'greet so he cold sign the strat back plate I had with me.

Saw him at the Erwin Center with Jeff Beck as headliner. SRV was the man. 🎶🎵🎼
