I love how much more confident this theme is compared to the first game's more somber piano theme.
In the first game, you were very much a fish out of water, learning as you went along while just trying to rescue your son and survive the inhuman abominations you came across.
But this time, both you the player, and the characters in-game know exactly what it is that they're heading into and you're both a lot more prepared to handle whatever you may come across.

When you're fed up with losing stamina from running and hacking in the first game, so you decided to bring a shotgun and a finally useful crossbow with you this time.

The last track from the first game was like more of the horrors of the first and the situation that was placed on you to save your son while this one shows that you are more determine to survive and you are not afraid to go the extra mile to get what you came for.
This track overall just sounds so epic. I could imagine if this was part of a HHN maze. And this will be the queue music.

bro the feeling when i opened this game up for the first time at 5am on a school day was fucking amazing, this music rolled and i was so fucking gassed i can't explain it. Thats the first time i was that gassed for a game in a veryyyy very long time, i hope i can relive that feeling again man

Damn, literally one of the best main menu sounds i have ever Heard. The cocking sound symbolises that you Are not afraid of the enemies anymore. You are ready to FIGHT DEMONS, once again.

1:05-1:40 is literally the main character slow motion, badass walking away from a pile of mutilated cannibals. He walks in slow motion towards the camera dripping in bone-armor and blood.
GOATED soundtrack, let us choose between this and the new one, i personally love this much more, and the old helicopter menu background was also way cooler.

The music in the game (and already in the trailers) is just great. It fits the tone and situation of / in the game and just builds on the atmosphere.
nothing got me more pumped to play Sons of the Forest than hearing this on the main menu. real ones will know this sound track. 4 full play throughs before 1.0 and I miss hearing this theme.

I would not have expected this kind of music for something like The Forest, but I wholeheartedly welcome it. It's badass.
I miss this theme. The new one feels more attune to the atmosphere of the game, but this is peak epicness. I feel like chopping down the whole forest and conquering every cave with my shotgun. Fighting monsters the whole night, while also have my trusty Kelvin and 3-legged sexy Rambo with the most badass outfits on my side.

Pro Tip: When you're not going to leave your shelter for a while, build a small box out of logs, and throw two logs into the box, pick them up, and do it again repetitively, it's a really fast and efficient way to gain strength, and doing it on a daily basis (in game time) can get you a LOT of strength, making you an absolute god if you do it enough, also another detail you should know, if you have high sentiment with virginia, and can give her items, give her your guns, she can use them even if they don't have ammo

Such a good main menu theme song. I love the difference between the original The Forest and Sons of the Forest. Someone already commented about this, but the music difference to both games hits hard. The first game you didn't know what you were getting into, and now SOTF you do. The music symbolizes that well in my opinion.
