I'm having as exact same issue with my 750Li BMW so far I think that BMWs are the most problematic Vehicles out there one must be very patient and do your own research before going to the BMW dealership and and are paying way too much for something that is a simple fix thank you for your video and thanks for RUclips for you guys putting out a lot of informative information they helped me a lot and save me a lot of money

Just watched everything omfg same thing going on with my 2007 bmw 750i Edit : ordered the lollipop from bmw 35 bucks will be here this week …you are a hero im like pretty sure this is it man!! Bloody fibre optic loop's lol, thought that might be the problem. As the logic is knackered it will naturally knock the sound off as the SOS call failure also as I had. Good job in the work around 👍
Mate, I think you might have literally saved me. I've actually been lucky with most of my BMWs (all being E46 and similar generation), I just watch your videos for entertainment because I find it interesting and like you as a person how you come across etc. But I've just bought a E63 645Ci, had no end of battery drain issues, sound coming on and off, idrive sometimes working sometimes not, tried all sorts of things! So read about the MOST loop but still had no idea how to test it, like do I fully unplug the amp and install the lolipop or do I keep the large plug connected? So seeing you do it this way had confirmed for me how to test it and your success is making me think I've got the same issue as I've had the same symptoms, including the PDC not working properly. Mines also an older one (2004). So nice one, thanks a lot the the information, going to go ahead and test it 👍

George I have a 1 series 2008 and I have a box in the back that has a Bluetooth symbol on it. Does this mean I could get the radio coded to utilise the Bluetooth. Any idea? Ps The stereo is the professional series.
Maybe a silly question ... What kind of amp is in the 730d? You could opt for (for now) forget Logic7 and just use the 730d amp. That would be cheap and easy, and you know it was a working system in the 730d right? Anyway good luck, i really enjoy this kind of BMW work!
I got a BMW 730D On a 57plate. Is their anything I could use or any device or anything that can help to stream my music from my phone. But not using the Aux Cable and sound not great any help would be great.
I have a e66 and I’m having battery drain issues as well. I already replaced my alternator and battery multiple times the car died on me while driving as well. To add to my luck now my car runs but it idles weird it goes from 500rpm to 800rpm. By any chance did this happen to your car when you were having battery drainage issues?

I had the same issue on a my E90, but I don’t have a amp, there was another box in the back I’m guessing it’s the satnav, it is situated in the middle of the boot not at the side, I just disconnected it and now the sound is fine, just don’t have nav now, but don’t use it anyway

You could have done what we did in the day……get a portable radio an throw it on the dash board….with the rest of crisp packets an chocolate bars😂

My e60 also has audio cut on and off issue even the seatbelt warning does it same issue ?

Sound doesn't all work fine, the logic 7 amp controls the subwoofers etc
For those who are interested - logic 7 controls 5 speakers: two subwoofers under front seats, rear door speakers and central speaker in front.
Is that fibre loop in the glovebox ?
No, you can't remove that as it will mean the optic loop is open
