- In this food travel vlog, Trang, her mom, and I eat cơm tấm (Vietnamese broken rice with pork) at a restaurant in Phan Rang, Vietnam. Trang and her mom have been eating at this restaurant for over 20 years!
All three of us had a plate of rice and pork served with soup and Vietnamese iced tea. The total price for the three of us to eat was 135k vnd or $5.51.

Trang's mom really cares for you, you can tell by the way she looks at you and she adores you with her daughter
Mom loves that you can speak Vietnamese
Food looks good, Tyler. Trang's mom looks young and fashionable. She knows how to dress and carries herself well. If I can venture a guess, I think her parents are professionals in that they work in an office or run a business. So far, they appear to be very nice and down to earth people. Stay happy and well, Tyler.
I think they are teachers. It was mentioned in a previous video, the first one when we first saw them.

BTW. Was in VN last summer. Hot, humid, icky, sticky, stinky 😢. How’s the weather in VN right now ?
It's pretty hot but doesn't feel that humid today
Tyler, you have to be careful with what you eat in VN because your stomach does not have the defense mechanism against tropical microbes (ie. germs) like the locals. That’s why many GI’s in the time of the Vietnam war were brought down not by the Vietcong but by the water not properly boiled and had to drink bottled water sent from Guam and Hawaii in the 1st few months before getting acquainted with the climate and the food at that time. In the other hand you are lucky to have such local guides in your food adventure specially Trang who is pretty smart in my opinion for her age.
