couldn't understand it before why the need for this hearing, but i get it now after hearing the arguments, it's very nuanced, since the constitution provides for some "special privileges" or "immunity" for the office of the president..it is imperative that the SC should have a position, an unprecedented action done by the highest office in the executive branch requires a respone from the 2 other branches, the legislative branch already made its own position by not impeaching the former president and have the courts decide.. it's now SC's turn.. equal branches of government to ensure check and balance.. it wasn't slow because they wanted to delay it, they were actually following due process, i get it now why jack smith's motion before the supreme court was rejected because it had to go through the lower courts first, it had to go through with all the motions before they can act, they cannot be pro active, their job is really to be reactive, the last resort in the judicial branch to interpret what's constituional vs not.. SC is not in favor of trump, but of defendants in general, "innocent until proven guilty", if you've listened to the hearing, they easily disposed of the notion of absolute immunity for a president.. i actually appreciate the line of questioning, they consider all extreme possibilities that they can think of anyway,
but i can see why this is essential, they need to close out this last resort or remedy available for the defendant, they pretty much agree that based on the allegations, what trump did was not in the scope of the office of a president.
this is something unprecedented, that SC must decide on.. the judicial process actually works..what i don't want them to decide is to qualify or specify the official functions of a president.. they should not be able to do that, it would defeat the purpose of the equal branches.. it should be carefully taken on a case by case basis..

Of course, yes indeed SCOTUS created this problem. They did it knowing if Trump wins, they'd be more powerful, even knowing the potential of him creating many more crimes in office, and that the Democrats would inundate them with many lawsuits that it would be impossible to put the common citizen's lawsuit on the Dockett for adjudication.
Just think, we've over exhausted seeing and hearing Trump for the past three years now, and if he wins in November, he's going to overwhelm the country with even more exhaustion to the point where no one is going to care anymore. Additionally, many of us aren't going to trust the news because they're just as responsible for building him up. You talk about Satan sneaking in catching silly people unawares; well, he did just that and Trump is his man.
God is showing us who we've always been as a people latently: Our mind and character are that of Trump's. At most, 10 percent of all the combined races and ethnic groups are somewhat compassionate and godly people. Yeah, 10 percent of 350 million Americans. Trump brought out America's true hidden character: hate and envy toward their fellow American, excessive greed and uncontrollable rage, just to name a few characteristics. Half the country suffers from some kind of mental illness problem.

As a citizen I have always been taught that the President of the United States is also a citizen and expected to obey the laws I am expected to to obey. I was taught that settlers came to this continent and no longer wanted to live where anyone did not obey the law. The settlers fought so they would have the same rights and responsibilities as everyone living in this area, everyone would obey the laws, no monarchs were allowed. This is taught in every school and home in the United States and most schools universally. This should not be difficult for anyone to answer. There is no immunity from the laws of the United States for any citizen. When electing a President we elect a citizen too act as President for four years as a citizen , anyone elected President must be a citizen. No citizen is immune to the laws of the United States.

      4. Why haven't they acknowledged Trump got us vaccines pretty darn fast?
      5. Why haven't they credited him with getting us out of wars and making peace agreements?
      6. Why did the Jan. 6 committee suppress so much information?
      7. Why was Trump's request for more national guard for Jan. 6 denied?
      8. Why isn't the Jan. 6th indictment mention insurrection as a charge if that was the biggest narrative?
      9. Why was the statute of limitations coincidentally dropped in New York for Jean E Carroll to make her rape civil trial work?
      10. Why did Jean Carrol go on Anderson Cooper and promote her book, "What Do We Need Men For?" while promoting her rape narrative?
      11. Why is New York charging him in three different cases ALL around the same time on an election year?
      12. Why does the money for the damages allegedly done to the defrauded lenders not go to the lenders, but the state of New York?
      13. Why did CNN state that Trump could sell Maralago for over 200 million dollars on a quick sale to raise money for the case that stated Maralago was only worth 18 million?
      14. Which banks were defrauded?
      15. If Trump wasn't impeached for insurrection, why are states trying to find ways to kick him off the ballot, stating he committed insurrection, even when the Jan. 6th indictment does not list it as a charge.
      16. Why are Jan. 6ers overprosecuted and scrutinized so heavily when Trump's inauguration saw DC get looted and firebombed, in which the rioters were actually paid out millions of dollars in damages???
      17. Why do people claim Trump will be a dictator, when we already had a 4 year term of him and everything was kosher......aside from leftist looting, burning, shooting (Trump was evacuated in 2020 during the BLM riots).
      18. Why are Palestinian protestors entering the capitol not met with severe punishment? Leftists at the Kavanaugh hearing interupting a proceeding? The Tennessee three? Zoe Zephyr?
      19. Why doesn't the documents case for Trump cite the presidential records act?
20.Why is Trump still being tried for having documents, while Joe Biden is still allowed to hold office even after his DOJ found wrongdoing, but stated that he can't stand trial as his memory is completely shot? Bear in mind, the present media narrative is that Trump has dementia, so by that token, all of Trump's trials are a no go.
      21. Why....oh why?!? does the media STILL claim Trump is Putin's guy, when Putin launched his war during Biden's admin, not Trump's? Putin did this because Biden removed sanctions from the Nordstream pipeline, which is ironic because Biden killed our own pipeline citing climate concerns. So the guy, who said he hates Russia and is worried about the climate, allowed the construction of a pipeline that, mere months after its completion, gave Putin the leverage over the West he needed to launch his war.
This long post implies this: I have never ever seen in American history such an overt effort to attack political opposition. It mimics what third world countries do. There is an establishment push to get, not just Trump, but anyone who is anti war, anti establishment and can disrupt the money flow. Eisenhower warned us about the military industrial complex coming for us all. His predecessor was assassinated and the documents are still hidden from the public.

98% of all crimes are not even acknowledged
Trump & his family have been breaking the law all their life, yet will NEVER be held accountable for the majority of their grave crimes!
For example: Trump refused to wear a mask, to set an example, while 500,000 people died of COVID. Think how many people would still be alive if he chose to set an example. *Who's looking into this???
Bottom Line; most crimes go unnoticed, not investigated, & left untouched!
Even if Trump is jailed tomorrow for the last few years of his life, he's beaten the odds, avoiding justice for his lifetime of crimes. He’s lived a life of Wealth, Power, Opulence, Fame, & Influence, proving without a doubt, that white collar Crime PAYS, & Justice doesn't NOT MATTER!

      @chuckthompson5724 - HELLO!
Many, many people are above the law, & break it everyday! I do it myself.
Think how many people speed, drive drunk, stoned or impaired, cheat on their taxes, don’t pay alimony & child support, steal from their employer, buy & sell drugs, assault others, steal, commit fraud, embezzle, vandalism, cybercrime, domestic violence, stalk, white collar crime, disorderly conduct …..etc.

The not-so-honorable SJC is now adjourned until Thursday, 9th of May at ten o’clock at which point they might very well send it back to the lower courts to delineate official vs private acts wasting more time thereby allowing Trump's modus operandi of delay, delay, delay grinding our legal system to a halt and threatening our Democratic Republic.

Let’s presume that a president is justifiably angry with a stenographer for entering incorrect data into the computer system and the president’s anger is so strong that he or she angrily approaches the stenographer and while scolding said stenographer slaps him or her to a point of drawing blood. The idiots who think a president is above the law are saying such conduct by a president is just fine. I cannot believe this issue is even being entertained by the SCOTUS. We have taught our children for more than two-hundred years that “no person is above the law.” Now it seems that nine lawyers are going to say in so many words that we have a “King” and as long as the king is wearing his crown he can do any damned thing he wants. Frankly, I’m upset with the Democrats for not anticipating what would happen (did happen) if Supreme Court appointments were left to the Republicans. Waiting for the retirement or death of a justice should have been recognized as a time bomb favoring the Republicans (MAGA Party). Instead of waiting, the more moderate or liberal justices should have been encouraged to retire in order to facilitate timing that better ensured appointments by a Democrat President. Just like incorrectly presuming Hillary Clinton’s “guaranteed” victory, we Dems were asleep at the switch! Like him or not, we needed Lyndon Johnson to arm twist Moscow Mitch into cooperation.
