Here’s a tip for any parents who are thinking of getting a pet for their child: make them do a presentation of it. In second grade I wanted a hamster so my mom told me to research about it so I did. I took a big paper and wrote down facts about hamsters, a list of what they need and a bunch of other stuff. It showed that I did my research and was passionate enough to not get sick of a hamster immediately and then we just put that paper above the hamster’s cage.

Tbh your content really got me interessted in aquaristics as a whole. the amount of care required for a mere goldfish let alone an axolotl is astounding considering the amount of misinformation out there. love your vids and your hard work!

a good size for an adult lotl is actually a 40 gallon breeder, because of the amount of waste they produce this size is enough to allow the nitrates to build up for weekly water changes, smaller tanks tend to lead to nitrates to build up faster and therefore more water changes are required :)

My Axolotl had Fungus and I used Methalin Blue and Black Tea. It worked really good the Fungus was gone in about 3 days.

Important note: I'm not an expert, but I believe that bare bottom tanks are not good for axolotls since they get stressed out from the lack of grip.

Hello Soda Pets. I came across a RUclips channel named "REPTILE FEED" and I don't know if you've heard of that channel or not, but I am genuinely disturbed at the thumbnails and video titles. I don't want to even look at their videos, it's disgusting.

I have been watching you for years on my old YT account and I am thinking on getting an Axolotl so I looked up some information on them and I started to watch this one because I was like "Oh hey! It's Soda Pets!" and I realized I wasn't subscribed on this account and that's why I didn't get you on my recommended but now I am and I love your videos so much😊

  • @evey-bee

thank you for this!!! the employee at the pet store told us that stress coat was good for the axolotl but i wanted to do further research. thank you sm!!

  • @lacyhansen3958

Thanks for the info! I'm getting 2 axolotols tomorrow, so I'm doing a ton of research. I live in New Mexico, and our summers are very warm! Our temperatures easily reach the high 90's. My one concern is keeping the water temperature down. Loved your video!

For my friends in the us, get a window unit. I live in an area with 103 highs and it has kept it at 59-60 F on the hottest days.
