  • Paruna Wildlife Sanctuary is a stunning place to take an Australian bush walk. Join me as I share tips and tricks to navigate this amazing place.
The beautiful thing about this park is that it is owned by The Australian Wildlife Conservancy (AWC) an independent Australian non-profit organisation, working to conserve threatened wildlife and ecosystems in Australia.
The AWC and its partners have over 400 peer-reviewed publications that talk about these problems.
Less than 1 hour from the Perth CBD in the stunning Avon Valley, Paruna Wildlife Sanctuary offers 3 different hiking trails to suit all levels of hikers.
In this park, you will see Jarrah and Eucalyptus Accedens forests a tree commonly known as smooth bark, powderbark or wandoo tree, that is endemic to the south-west of Western Australia.
There is also an abundance of wildlife. Hundreds of birds will sing to you in the early mornings or if you are lucky you might even see an Echidna. There are also Kangaroos, Wallabies and a wide variety of reptiles and micro beasts like Myrmecia (The Australian Bull Ant)
I absolutely loved spending time in this park and would highly recommend you pay this place a visit.
