Here's another one from Ninja Gaiden. I had actually started working on this one about a year ago but since the entire theme revolves around some repeating patterns I never felt there was enough substance for a proper long cover with it. Getting the hurdy gurdy sort of changed that altogether though so I decided to dig out my "old" draft and see if I could flesh it out and use the new toy. I started from a simple background accompaniment on the hurdy and then added the little melody hook in the middle of the arrangement, then the drop/break ... And then I though, heck, why stop there ? So I went out and fleshed it out even more and added as many harmonies on just as many different instrument, ending with sth new entirely and ... well here's the end result :) Hope you'll enjoy it and don't forget, in order to grow, the channel desperately needs your support on Patreon ;)
OMFG, I have been following you for many years, but I missed this gem. So many memories with this theme. I grew up playing the first Ninja Gaiden on the NES, I remember loving the entire soundtrack and the overall atmosphere that the game was going for. It is also kind of heart breaking because I was a kid with a teenager sister. A few friends of her came to our home and one of her friends had this Cartridge and borrowed it to me. This sister's friend passed away shortly after, like 1 year later, very young age due to hart problems :(. So I still hold the cartridge even if he wasn't my friend and barely knew him, but I know that my Sister was her friend for a reason. And I finally beat the game when I turned 21. So many memories came by with this song haha.
Yooo, this made me start whipping out Ninja hand signs! Ive been a Ninja Gaiden fan my entire life, thank you so much for this, it's absolutely amazing!
One of the best covers I've ever heard. Most of covers I find of videogames or any other media are just metal covers and they completely destroy the original feeling of the original theme, song, track. You didn't, you did it better.
Man, we were spoiled for art quality in those old games. What a generally great soundtrack. I picked up Contra again recently and it blew me away that it sold for $40-$60. And yes, excellent rendition.
I'm from Brazil and I played Ninja Gaiden on the Arcade. It's so good, 30 years later, to be able to listen how really beautiful is Masked Devil. Thanks for reviving such wonderful (and "soundly"improved) memories from my childhood!

I can't believe I missed this beautiful song, amazing work, great ensemble of intrruments harmony, your music always have the perfect feel and personal touch that makes it unique . Ninja Gaiden music is amazing in all the nes trilogy and somehow people only remember the first game tunes for the most part. I love the songs in the third game: the intro, that has a complete different feeling on each part to add to the storyline gravitas. The desert song on the second level is also terrific, but among all I think the music for the water cave in level 3-2 just blows my mind, I think there's a lot of meat for a talented musician like yourself to elevate those chiptunes into musical bliss 👌😌
