  • This by far is the easiest method to germinate Lavender seeds. In the past, I was never successful with germinating Lavender seeds, regardless of how many packs I purchased. I can't wait to grow more and transfer to pots soon!
If you love what I’m sharing, please help to support my channel by clicking on the links below. This will allow me to test out new theories and more seeds in the future, as I share them here on RUclips. Thank you for your support!

@@LADYKAT... I was so proud of my lavender. Then went on vacation and the person watching my house forgot about water the plants. I’m in the south, they were burned to a crisp. 😩
      I’ll try again this year.

I plan to try starting a garden this year to help support my family and to learn new skills I was never taught so that I can teach them to my baby as she grows. Please pray God would bless the fruit of my hands for His glory and our good.

Thank you so much for praying! The Lord has encouraged me SO well, and at the perfect time. I am so excited to say that, even after dropping my growing container on the floor and having to sweep everything back in 🤦‍♀️ I have TWO lavender sprouts! They're Itty-bitty yet (just discovered them today), but man, my heart was so blessed to see them. Good reminders that: 1. All things that succeed in life are the Lord's doing, not mine (yet even if they hadn't or don't make it, He is still faithful) and 2. If He wants it to grow, even dumping it won't stop God's hand! 🤣
Thank you again, sister! God bless you!

I'm not big on commenting but I knew I was interested when you started with scripture. Thank you for being a blessing! You sharing this video is allowing me to receive the message that He has been giving me through others lately "seek Him" and "have patience". I just purchased some lavender seeds and I know that my growing season timeline is all off but I'm excited for what may come about regardless. I brought 600 seeds so if these dont work out I'll have a few more to try lol Thank you for sharing your message about the lavender seeds but more importantly to me seeking Him, having patience and giving myself grace. Bless you!
Now let me go and subscribe and see what other messages you may have for me to receive today ☺️

Anyone that’s starts a video with the Word of God gets my full attention. I’ve already put my seeds in the fridge for a month. I will try this next time. Thanks!.......... Had not finished the video when I made that comment. All I can say is Wow! I’m in the middle of a mess. I have wanted to grow food for so long but my house has trees everywhere with lots of shade. I have half an acre with a lake at the bottom of it so there are lots of animals in my yard. The voles and moles live underground so I can’t really plant anything. I don’t want to plant anything because both neighbors use chemicals on their lawn and I don’t want it in my food. So I just started planting seeds in little pots. When I say seeds I mean hundreds. I saw a lady on YT that sits totes up on chairs in her yard and that seemed to be the answer except if you sit in a chair in my yard because of all the tunnels underneath, the legs may sink down 6 inches. So I have all these tiny plants and have not a clue how I’m going to keep them off the ground and away from the rabbits and armadillos and possums and deer. I was thinking of giving up just yesterday. But He knows the answer. I just need patience to wait on His answer. Thank you so much for your godly advice. It was just what I needed to hear. God bless you!

Amazing video. I started planting lavender for the first time this year and wanted some simple advice. I saw videos about freezing the seeds, putting them in a fridge and all sorts. To me, that was too much for such gentle beings.
I decided to plant them directly in seed compost and even though only a handful germinated, I thank God that I came across your video. I kept things simple. I will plant some more seeds using your method of soaking the seeds in water for a few hours.

For the life of me, I’ve been patiently waiting for my lavender to germinate. It was from a USDA growing kit with guarantee it would sprout. Instructions didn’t say anything about freezing nor stratifying. I planted the seeds on Christmas 2022 since that was the gift I opened from my dear friend. 3 months later and so sign or growth. I have a few seeds left so I’ll try your method!

Never tried it with lavender, but I will be doing it in the next couple days, again many thanks!💛

@@catharinas.miller1965 unfortunately I had to cold stratify them in the freezer for 4-6 weeks (I ended up keeping them in there the whole 6 weeks) I folded them up inside a damp paper towel in a Ziploc bag with just a tad of hydrogen peroxide in it too (peroxide helped keep the mold out , a lil bit don't hurt the seeds at all) I let the bag and everything inside it completely freeze over in the freezer for 6 weeks . When the 6 weeks was up I left everything in the bag as is and put the bag in a warm place for a week or 2 and checked it every other day or so to see if the seeds started germinating , make sure to change the paper towel if it starts molding , keep it damp and a bit of peroxide on it .. yeah it's quite the process , but that's the ONLY way I got mine to grow !!!!

You're welcome! I'm starting to suspect that it's something to do with the seeds of this plant variety in general. It's best to just use the whole seed packet. Don't try to plant a few seeds. I just tested out another brand and realized some grew, a lot didn't. So don't be afraid to use up the seeds but also have the right growing conditions. I hope this helps.

So I tried 3 different methods including this one. 1. Just stick it in the dirt and water. 2. This method. 3. Wet paper towel in fridge. The method in this video is the only one to have worked so far and super quickly! I think it was about 1 week or a bit more. The other methods are supposed to have worked by next week or a bit after. Wow, God just used this year old video to speak to me !
I literally just got off the phone with a neighbor friend who is a Godly man, I had made the comment that nothing ever works, nothing goes right but that’s just the way my life is. My complaining started with me telling him my new pressure washer didn’t work last summer so I guess I have to get another one this summer, the liner from the back of my car is on the deck railing with 1/2 gallon of raw milk spilled on it 🙄 and that pressure washer was to wash that deck so I could stain it last summer….it didn’t happen 😏
And it just goes on and on….sometimes I feel God is just getting a good laugh watching me struggle !
Thank you for this message, although I’m defeated I know God loves me, he is the only one who has ❤️
    Blessings

You had me with the scripture in the beginning of the video🥰I'm new to gardening, and God has really turned my black thumb, green🙌🏼 I'm excited to start growing. I bought these dollar tree seeds and a greenhouse tray from there as well, my seeds germinated after a few days. I prayed over these seeds yall😅 the first time I tried. Nothing worked. Happy to see someone else is going to the Lord for help. I'm fighting these gnats with diatomaceous earth, lol. Going to order a Butterworth plant to eat them soon. I'm over it😅

I am trying different experiments on lavender seed:
    1. Currently stratifying seeds (started last 01Jul2023)
    2. Soaked the seeds last 03Jul2023 and left it for >7 days, then sowed it with no heating pad. Just exposing it under the sun. No progress yet.
    3. Sowed the seeds directly to the potting mix (started 03Jul2023) - no stratification, no artificial light. Placed it a few times in the window sill but has been on my shaded balcony most of the time, getting indirect sunlight. Result: SUCCESSFULLY GERMINATED!
I started experiment #3 after stumbling upon your video. And at the same time, I am being impatient because I plan to sow the stratified seeds after 40 days. AFTER 22 DAYS, I saw a tiny sprout!!! I wasn’t really expecting much on it but I have germinated it successfully!! And I was almost negligent on it, I am not checking the moisture on a daily basis, just giving it water for about every 3 or 4 days or just when I remember it. I know if I have the heating pad, it might have germinated earlier but I just thought that it is another expense. Plus, I am just new to gardening so I thought I try to let the nature do its work. By the way I am from the Philippines, and it’s currently rainy season. It’s a lengthy comment but just like to say THANK YOU for sharing this video. It has been a motivation for me to not give up on trying to grow lavender. I’ve had watched different videos and most of them have stratified their seeds. I hope my new seedling will thrive.

      Hi @yeoji2759
I totally felt you on this "I just thought that it is another expense. Plus, I am just new to gardening so I thought I try to let the nature do its work." I'm glad to hear that just putting it in the ground as nature would, worked!

Wow I have to put in another comment because it’s just so strange. I have a bad back, but am a doer, and a never stop person, stubborn!!!! Also struggle with faith.....
This past few weeks my back is really acting up, also I’m fed up trying lavender but thought I’d give it another go!!!
Stumbled upon your video and I swear your words just sent shivers up my spine❤️
My husbands said as he kissed me before he went to work today, REST! Heal your back take it easy!!!
So basically you just covered EVERTHING and said things I needed to hear. Thank you so very much!!!
I guess like my mother and grandma have always said ( the lord works on mysterious ways)
Well I’m starting to think they may be on to something ❤️
