Here's what I don't understand. I heard about the talc contamination issues back in the early 90's. I never used talc again. I always checked to make sure the powder had a corn starch base and it always did. I assumed the talc products weren't being manufactured anymore. So, why were they?
😂😂😂 dying at Kate’s shade she threw about kissing Leo not being that great. She is so funny! I loved that story and was most certainly obsessed with that movie. It’s still one of the only romance-y movies I like to this day.
I’m a retired NP. Never let a chiropractor sell you meds, supplements, topicals or do anything to your body that is not chiropractic. Also NEVER let one “crack” your neck. It can cause an aneurysm.
Mario may remain as creative director or some other title. Bobbi originally sold her company she sold he company to Estée Lauder but she remained creative director for years before she finally left completely. Selling to an owner with more financial means could mean expanding the brand beyond what he can do on his own.
Freaking love your energy Jen! Have been following you for years and years now! And every single time I find myself smiling at my phone at you! Thank you ❤
I follow Doctorly, Dr. Dray, Dr. Daniel Sugai, and Dr. Shereene Idriss. Of those, I most trust Dr. Dray. In part, that's because she doesn't have her own brand to promote. But she's also very honest and straight forward in her explanations or products ingredients.
I love Dr. Idriss the most. Her brand isn't financed/owned by big venture companies. It's from her own money. I also love how she doesn't do sponsored videos and she's cut throat(if she likes a product, we'll know, if she doesn't she'll let us know whether the brand gets mad at her or not) she doesn't give AF 😅
The Titantic story. Kate saying kissing Leo wasn't all it's cracked up to be oooh she's Mother for that!😂 Also super interesting behind the scenes detail. Love getting to know little extras about how movies are made

It BLOWS my mind that she STILL won’t admit she did not own Jaclyn Cosmetics, nor was she the CEO. That company absolutely filed for bankruptcy. Why lie when the legal documents are public? I don’t get it?
The Argument from False Authority fallacy is an issue in academic spaces as well. People with PhDs talking about fields that aren’t their specialty as if they know everything because they have a doctorate. Very frustrating.
hi jen!! love seeing ur outfits (even tho its just the top) like i always imagine ur wearing some super cute sundress and im like yess girl give us summertime!!! 🤍
It's weird when doctors don't work on their mental illness though. I'd be down with her but she isn't a good role model being that she enables eating disorders with her food focused videos.
I love both of the guys from doctorly. They are who got me into skincare and have so many specific and clear videos on ingredients, routines for certain goals, and disproving misinformation. Also Michelle Wong of lab muffin beauty science, her content is so clear and she makes concepts so easy to understand
You crack me up! Your voice reminds me of a Saturday night dateline host sound. Or maybe it is most similar to the interviewer. This is like the perfect subject matter you could feature with a voice like yours. It’s perfect!
This is a big problem with MLMs as well. They have these people on their teams & post them all over saying the doctor that formulated our groundbreaking product & they train the downlines with all the downright dangerous misinformation. I’m sure many of the distributors hear doctor & think medical but they’re almost NEVER medical doctors that are educated on things like cancer or addiction or autism- many of the things I hear them saying their products can ‘cure’ not even help which is gross enough. Same issue as this chiropractor. It’s so gross to use the credibility you have to lie to people or pretend you have knowledge on things you simply don’t.
Another vote for Dr. Dray and her no nonsense view of the cosmetics industry. Also, Dr. Michelle Wong @LabMuffinBeautyScience although not a medical doctor, a PhD in cosmetic chemistry, I trust her knowledge and information implicitly 🤩
I LOVE TITANIC AS WELL - I have watched this movie numerous times and will continue to watch it every time it comes on tv anywhere ….. that movie was huge when it came out and teenaged me - got lost in the music and Leo’s eyes every dang time - bahahaha
Omg I just woke myself up, being half asleep, because of how ludicrous the sunscreen discourse was. They’re basically ignoring skin cancer entirely. It really is that serious, I’m shocked she could spread such dangerous ideas.
I follow/check a lot of derm channels because no doctor regardless of specialty, is going to 100% agree/advise the same way. I watch Dr Dray, Dr Alexis Stephens (since she focuses on Fitzpatrick 4-6), Dr. Sam Ellis, Dr. Jenny Liu, Dr. Daniel Sugai. I check in on occasion with Doctorly, Dr. Idriss, Tea with MD, dermangelo, taraMD (for sunscreens on darker skin). Skin by Dr. Azi has good podcasts. I also check with Lab Muffin and Chemist Confessions. Other cosmetic chemists I've checked out are Javon Ford, April Basi, Esther Olu, KindofStephen, GlowbyRamon. I don't watch them often but you also have the derms who focus on expensive skincare like Dr. Kappel, Dr. Heather Rogers. There are a lot of resources who aren't chiropractors and there are a number of those with skincare and skincare lines who use doctor knowing that people will just assume those folks actually are derms.
I really don’t follow any doctors online because I find the whole thing super cringy. The exception is Dr. Dray bc I find her content educational and entertaining. everyone else that I’ve come across feels like watching an advertisement. I prefer to get medical information from trusted websites (key being trusted) because while it might be a lot less entertaining I don’t have to question the motives.
I think Jaclyn isn’t smart enough to understand it’s not her company. She thinks her name is on the brand, they call her for meetings to decide on products ( that they present to her and she just picks one), so she is delulu and thinks she is making decisions as a CEO.
Jaclyn .. deleted her years ago. She might change her name so she can try change her damaged image and start fresh with cookware or baby clothes or whatever but its like the old phrase " You can put a dress on a pig, but its still a pig".
As for derm doctors, Dr Dray and Dr Sam Ellis. And of course I learn lots from you, Jen, since you quote actual scientific studies and do your research! Thank you! And for the record…I wear sunscreen every day. 😊 ETA…is it weird that I’ve never seen the movie, Titanic? Lol Great BTS story!
Dr Ellis is getting just like the other infomercial specialists, push push push anything that supports their agenda. Salesman should stay in the car lot or QVC
I agree there’s a lot of misinformation spread by “Doctors” and it’s frustrating to see people blindly follow given their “doctor status”. I consistently watch Dr Dray and Derm Guru. Q for you: do you trust a Dr less once they launch their own brand given they start pushing it over other options?
I worked at a movie theater when Titanic and it was the worst!!!! It was so busy and having to clean the theater was horrible because it was crowded but then having to hear that song over and over and over and over .... yeah I hate that movie but I do think that insight was cool

i get people not realizing a brand has closed down for months. other than mascara i buy makeup like once or twice a year. if makeup wasn't a special interest for me i wouldn't know anything about brands other than what i see then
Drdray is my favorite board certified dermatologist on RUclips.
Dr. Dray, Dr. Idriss, Dr. Mike are three that immediately come to mind.
Yes!
Yep! And for mental health, Dr K. ❤
I like all of them, but I'm Medlife Crisis hardliner over here.
I’m a retired NP. Never let a chiropractor sell you meds, supplements, topicals or do anything to your body that is not chiropractic. Also NEVER let one “crack” your neck. It can cause an aneurysm.
I am so glad you’re calling this “Jaclyn”cosmetics situation out! I saw the comments the other day and just knew it was going to spark something.
Doctor Mike always gives good recommendations. I also like that if there is miss information he will voice his concerns.
So. Sick. Of. Celebrity. Cosmetic. Lines.
Right? Especially when they’re 25. It’s not hard to be hot with good skin when you’ve never been through anything.
I feel like we should just skip over Jaclyn news now, like with J*
I'm not even interested anymore 😆
Mario may remain as creative director or some other title. Bobbi originally sold her company she sold he company to Estée Lauder but she remained creative director for years before she finally left completely. Selling to an owner with more financial means could mean expanding the brand beyond what he can do on his own.
The only morning news I watch
31:15 DYING because i say to myself all the time “kitty, hamster wheel brain CUT!! CUT!!!”
adhd is a hell of a drug, man 😂
Heyyy Jen! New sub here!! Love your videos!! Been binging them all week! ❤
The Titantic story. Kate saying kissing Leo wasn't all it's cracked up to be oooh she's Mother for that!😂
Also super interesting behind the scenes detail. Love getting to know little extras about how movies are made
Dr. Dray!! I’ve been watching her for years!
Jen, I really hope you see this comment. I just want to say - I know you've expressed in the past that you don't want your channel to become too big, but I am so, so happy for your channel's recent growth and that so many others (25k+!!!) have found you. Maybe I'm just imagining it, but you are just absolutely glowing these days and ruminating your inner and outer beauty. You just seem so happy, and, call it parasocial, but I'm also just so happy *for* you! ❤ Keep doing what you're doing. Karma can work positively too, and it's so fun to see that happening in real time😊
😂😂😂😂 that last part is too funny about the makeup rubbing off
Dr. Dray is the one I trust the most.
She is down to earth and can tell she tells the truth.
She is the only doctor on RUclips that I know of..that isn’t pushing their own brand “that is the best ever created”
I love your videos. Longer videos are my jam these days. Thank you for bringing some extra sunshine to my day with your amazing content. ☀️💔
Like my math professors thinking they're experts in communicable disease! 😤😷
hi jen!! love seeing ur outfits (even tho its just the top) like i always imagine ur wearing some super cute sundress and im like yess girl give us summertime!!! 🤍
Dr Dray is THE dermatologist I trust. She’s no nonsense and thorough. I also like Doctorly (Dr Shah and Dr Max).
I second this and Dr Idriss but Dr Dre being anorexic does bother me.
Aww thanks for sharing the movie magic from Kate's VF interview ✨️ glad to know others shared that little tidbit.
Dr Dray is the best dermatologist out there.
Yes! Michelle Wong explains that even dermatologists don’t know what cosmetic chemists know
On the Kate Winslet story - WOMEN IN STEM 👏👏👏👏
Good Job Jaclyn - I wish her the best ❤
The J&J one is so scary. When I was a baby the powder was regularly used for babies and children. I remember my grandma using it on me after baths.
You crack me up! Your voice reminds me of a Saturday night dateline host sound. Or maybe it is most similar to the interviewer. This is like the perfect subject matter you could feature with a voice like yours. It’s perfect!
Thank you for posting, this is interesting!
I think you're being far too nice to jaclyn. She literally doesn't disclose sponsorships. She will only change if she learns to stop lying.
I love Titanic!!!!! I just watched it last night. Every time it's on TV, I watch. Jen, you are not alone
I loved that story about Kate and Leo !! I love Titanic too, I do the same”where to miss” “to the stars” way too often 🤣🤣.
Doctorly is AMAZINGGGG- they’re DO’s that practice dermatology and Dr.Shah just opened his own skincare brand!!🎉
TY for the TRUTH Jen!! can always count on you, fort the actual FACTS!
Now that is a celebrity brand I can get behind! That’s so wonderful they are putting those products out there for multi ethnic hair types
You are so Awesome!! I love What's Up in Makeup! Sending ❤to you and your subscribers. Have a wonderful day filled with joy!
Jaclyn lying about her brand not being in debt when the documents are public as a public bathroom with walls made of glass
It’s Dr. V (Vanita Rattan) for me who specializes in skin of color❤
@@uniqueism101 I lover her. I know she specializes in deeper skin tones, but she always gives great info.
The. Door. Was. Indeed. Big. Enough. ... 🤬 🤣🤣
i swear it just never ends with her 😭
Another vote for Dr. Dray and her no nonsense view of the cosmetics industry. Also, Dr. Michelle Wong @LabMuffinBeautyScience although not a medical doctor, a PhD in cosmetic chemistry, I trust her knowledge and information implicitly 🤩
We love you Jen!! ❤❤❤
Great episode!
I LOVE TITANIC AS WELL - I have watched this movie numerous times and will continue to watch it every time it comes on tv anywhere ….. that movie was huge when it came out and teenaged me - got lost in the music and Leo’s eyes every dang time - bahahaha
I am here for the tea
Dr Dray would be great at this topic. She isn't afraid to call out these Dr's. Could you ask her to join your live?
Omg I just woke myself up, being half asleep, because of how ludicrous the sunscreen discourse was. They’re basically ignoring skin cancer entirely. It really is that serious, I’m shocked she could spread such dangerous ideas.
I “LUVED” Titanic too gurl!😂😂😂
Jen I'm going to need to know what this amazingly beautiful lipstick is that you are wearing? You look gorgeous!
She still has fans Lol
Right?! If had known about what she did to Makeup Geek, I would have been done then. I love Marlena!
Mind blown 😳
WUIMU time… let’s go.. ❤❤❤❤
As a parent of a biracial daughter, I’m very excited for the Niles and Chaz launch. I hadn’t heard about it but I’ll definitely be looking into it!
Dr. Dray is a wealth of knowledge. I trust her voice on any skincare information.
You had me when you brought up the door size in Titanic
I think Jaclyn isn’t smart enough to understand it’s not her company. She thinks her name is on the brand, they call her for meetings to decide on products ( that they present to her and she just picks one), so she is delulu and thinks she is making decisions as a CEO.
Just as soon as I get done watching your video. I see jaclyn post a new video.
Jaclyn .. deleted her years ago.
It was so busy and having
to clean the theater was horrible because it was crowded but then having to hear that song over and over and over and over .... yeah I hate that movie but I do think that insight was cool
