This is such a solid presentation on Office Management, I did enjoy it. One of the best quotes I have ever come across was from a video on Steve Jobs on recruiting and he stated, “The greatest people are self-managed, they don’t need to be managed, once they know what to do, they go out and figure it out, they don’t need to be managed at all.” I think this quote touches on skill 2 and 3. A manager must be ahead of the game, strategically, training, and latest business developments. Being self motivated is the hardest thing to do, no one is going to give you a pat on the back, you have to be out there and continually be improving yourself, no one will do it for you. Being organised is another hard challenge, if that wasn’t enough, you have to be an excellent communicator and Team leader, there’s a lot in the mix…..that’s for sure!
