Patonga to Wondabyne (Great North Walk)

  • This great 19km walk, in Brisbane Water National Park, takes us from Patonga on the Northern shore of Broken Bay to Warrah trig, then across to Mt Wondabyne to Kariong Brook Falls and Myron Creek, leading up to the ridge at the junction with Mooney Mooney Track to descend down the Wondabyne railway station.
    This video is a re-edited composite of my Patonga to Woy Woy and Woy Woy to Wondabyne videos.

    ...aaahhhh...the train......Used to do Sydney to WoyWoy by steam (1950s)Tunnels would produce clouds of smoke back into the carriage...part of the fun of railroading in those days !! :):)

    that's a great walk mate with lots of things to see. A long way tho at 19k !

    That's why I did it in two sections (Patonga - Woy Woy and Woy Woy - Wondabyne).
    It's been over 20 years since I walked last.
