  • In this video I’m covering another NSW hidden treasure: Dangar Island.
It’s on the Hawkesbury River near the small township of Brooklyn.
Dangar Island is just 29 hectares or about 72 acres in size, and about 800m east to west and 620m north to south.
The last census recorded a population of a little over 300.
The residents cover all ages from school children to retirees. Many have lived there for decades and others have recently built or renovated a holiday cottage there.

Many thanks. We're planning another trip to Dangar Island. I'm hoping to get some drone footage of the foreshores.
