I graduated high school in 1984 as well. In fact under my yearbook picture that year I wrote "We all knew Heavy Metal was here to stay when God created rock & roll on the 8th day." Lol. My first concert was that year. Van Halen. Loudness & Loverboy. I have been into metal since I was in 5th grade. The musicians. The creativity. The ultimate music phenominal. Epic. Later in life I was drawn to death & black metal & genres there of. Not so much lyrically as very very dark. Brutal. But the creativity absolutely off the charts incredible. The music part of it is amazing. Some of the most talented people on the planet are in those bands. So mind blowing talented. Nothing like 7, 8 & 9 string guitar players. Not to mention the drummers are insane. Blackie Lawless has always been one of my favorite singers of all time. He ignites the the flame in my heart. The fire in my soul. Ive shed many tears in the process of healing at times due to extreme heartbreak listening to the ballads. They impact me the most. Then there is the other side of the spectrum. Wildchild one of my absolute favorite songs. Blackie is one of the most under rated singers of all time. No matter. His legacy will never die. 💚
