@@ChrisWhite-vs6ud Yeah Chris i agree except for Powerslave, that album got far way too much credit & attention in my book. 2 minutes til midnite is the only song from that album i really like & i really don't understand what the big deal was that they made over Powerslave but i liked everything else they did but Somewhere in Time just has that sound i really like & to me it defines Iron Maiden the best.
Bo Nichols I really like Aces High and Rime of the ancient mariner off PowerSlave also. But love Somewhere in time also. My personal fav is Piece of Mind but also think NOTB has 3 of their greatest songs. Can’t go wrong with Maiden!
It's a great song and I'm a lifelong Iron Maiden fan, and it's fun now in 2024 to see all the guys so young. But it's rare to see them miming along to their record, they usually refused to do that. Interesting document

I went to watch Maiden at the O2 Arena in London in 2013. I was worried that they'd play loads of new songs no one would know. Not at all! They played ALL their classics including this, like a Greatest Hits Live. Best show of my life.
There is quite a few sincere and honestly devoted artists as those one the Iron Maiden group Their wonderful leader is brilliant he lives his own life through his interpretation and thowards public on stage Bruce is someone who gives him entirely with no limits and is also enigmatic and magnetic at the same time

Music, as they call it isn't even music, rapping, hip hop with machine sounds instead of actual guitarist and the rap and hip hop singers using Autotune for the entire song sound like pure shit. Autotune was originally used in recording studios for a vocalist when they went out of key, but now kids use it as a toy, I hate the sound of it. And Rap now is every other word Nigga this Nigga that.

Probably they were playing this song in live, but the people of "Countdown" had could not took a good quality sound of this performance and so they decided to overwrite the original sound with the studio version.

I really liked Somewhere in Time also but most hardcore Maiden fans prefer Number of the Beast, Peace of Mind & Powerslave. I like them all! 👍
