@@Seriksy performs pretty well in deep snow..fast enough for me..27mph. Can get a little squirrelly on frozen snowmobile tracks. It isn't a snowmobile..one has to keep that in mind. It could use a little more power uphill but good enough.
That's kinda how it looks to me too. 200 lbs for the machine itself, and with gear on I'd be a 230 lb rider. That's a lot of weight that's going to be on that little rear end, for going through soft snow, and/or uphill. I could definitely still see it being a lot of fun for what it is in the right conditions (what you see in this video, basically) or a dedicated narrow groomed track. I wouldn't mind seeing the same powertrain applied to a light, short-travel, slow snowmobile, like an updated yamaha bravo. Get it in a weight range around half of a typical snowmobile and I think there'd be a market for it.
@@thomasmcdermott8858 I'm 5'11", 190lbs...and it doesn't have too much trouble. A couple of times it couldn't get me up a hill in powder. An aluminum version (where possible) would lighten it up. It rides best in a little fresh powder.
1 out of 5 stars Motorbikes are only good in flats with 5" to 10" of powder; they are not good in the mountains. This is a far cry from a snowmobile. Horrible on hard-pack or ice; actually dangerous. They get stuck in over 10" of powder. This is just a cheap electric mountain bike with a ski. If you want a real snowmobile bike, then get a Talaria MX4 ($4k) with a TrackNGo ($4k), 100% better. My kids, wife, and I tried both and ended up ditching the Moonbike and waiting to take turns on the Talaria MX4 with TrackNGo. Night and Day difference. Moonbike staff lied to me and said it would make it to my cabin. Nope! Ran out of juice and it wouldn't make it up hills. They said they would allow me to return it if it didn't. Nope! they lied. Really bad company and really bad product = perfect recipe for bankruptcy.
Those are crazy, I wish I had enough money to spend on one of those.
Been riding min..super fun. Wish they would publish a parts list. Get nervous miles out without some basic spare parts.
But how is it on uneven terrain or deeper snow? Especially uphill? The handling looks really unstable and the speed seems fairly bad?

@@Seriksyit is not a snowmobile. It won’t take one everywhere. Flat is good..can do some okay climbing. Cuts through flat powder decently.
Very difficult to register with state DMV. Moonbikes needs to sort out a lot paperwork and regulations. Cannot get insurance either.
Don’t register it. Problem solved. 👌🏽
Very cool. Here in AK, I would love to have one of these, but the cost is pretty silly high. Too bad.
You've got the terrain and weather for sure
On Maine f marketplace there is 2 for 8500 now
Super cool. Want one!
Cool. I dont live where it snows but now I wish I did.
So do I 😂
I do and i hate it shahah
@@KingK1. let's swap places 😂
Why no gas version?
You can add a timber bike conversion to almost any dirt bike if that's your thing.
The jealousy in my heart ... It hurts.
Haha! pleeeease.. come back
Extra batteries are $1,900? Hahaha
