@dashloc Next Time - next chance. In the spring time I will get a showing over the power station and trough the mining. The new line near Aachen ist also interesting. The comgany "RWE" is very friendly, if your are interested in railways and not in climatic problems...
@dashloc There are some narrow gauge lines in Germany, working for tourist traffic. But "my" railway ist the oldest one, foundet in 1863. Many visitors came from France to visit this local and sheep railway - I have some documents. The plan was: every departemend should get such a local railway with the track laying near the road - and they did so !
@dashloc Ten words in german? Here are my nine in french one's:TGV, SNCF, Camenbert and Calvados - A very interesting question! On my home railway Cologne-Frankfurt there is no fence aswell. The tunnels should have a warning system for big animals, like cattle and so on, but it doesn't work. A helicopter of the "Bundesgrenzschutz" will fly over the NBS for six times daily. Iff you are standing near the track, the police will arrive as soon as possible.
@ErebosSan Si complètement ! les wagons aussi sont pas mal, d'ailleurs le réseau est fermé, justement à cause de la largeur "hors gabarit" ! +d'infos sur Railfaneurope, " de/private/industry/RWE"
@dashloc I like cologne-frankfurt (NBS) very much. I've taken pictures from the first works up to now. Publishing was "a solid gold easy action" like musicans often says. I am prepairing a museum in Asbach nearby the NBS, with money from my insurance (museum-asbach). This was the first narrow gauge line in germany. Railway comes from the past and goes into the future. I'm interested in every kind of railway development. You want to walk along the NBS without any fences?
Wow, electric traction on private line... That`s nice! In Romania we have only diesel-traction lines, and also a 760mm line to move some Iron Ore between career and plant in Pietrosita, Romania. Anyway, rail transport is very efficient in this situations! PS: Don`t tell me that you use your umbrella for the camera, and your head was... literally rained! ;))
@hennef53 Hi, sorry for the lag between answers (!) Yahy ! Sad to heard this, by the way, no need to don't have fence to have a lot of suicide on the track ! Here high speed lines are all the way fenced, every year we've got a bunch of people jumping in front of TGV ! (sic)
@hennef53 The line is a wellknown place for suicides. Six persons at the bridge of "Hallertal" in three months. One man took his little son, builds up a tripode and switched his camcorder on - awaiting a train near Siegburg. But the police doesn't post this vid on youtube... It was his last wish, to be wroten in his testament. I don't like to be a engeneer on this line, it's raining people there. Wy don't they take the nearby motorway?
@hennef53 Yeah great words :) Mind in german are : BMW, schnapps, danke also ICE, bahn... :D :D I remember of the ICE who hit a bunch of sheep in tunnel, yahy ! Also i always recording along the track with a safety jacket, so, often people don't call the police. But by the way, recording high speed trains along a high speed lines without fence is a great experience :)
@hennef53 *laught* no ! I still try to surviving at my english speak, also The 10 words what i know in german, wasn't from a great utility there ! :P Hey question time : Did you know why there no fence on high speed lines in Germany ? Wonder to know ! it's something very strange for the french what i am !
@hennef53 Holly cow ! When you think that in the first coach, there are just behind the enginer and the panel control, Blah ! Higher worst than a classic horror movie ! :/

Was glaubst du woher du den Strom bekommst?
