Actually, if you check out Blake's career, you will see that he doesn't have a problem selling seats. Just last month in California ("country" music country?) he sold out Mid-State Fair in one day! The second time it was EVER done. First time with Aerosmith. If you check his numbers, he really has no problem drawing a crowd. I'm gonna go with it was nice.....

Nah... More like certain bigots who started out with evil policies such as Jim Crow, which purposely isolated and stunted opportunity for certain specific parts of society. For instance constantly stereotyping them and putting liquor stores on every corner, so they'd remain static, desperate, ignorant and broken for generations, being forced to claw for welfare scraps, and pray on their own, with gun n drug wars, prostitution, thievery and in deadly turf wars, until that street life became all they know.

It's called having different taste in music.
Did you know that when you release music to the public, then anyone can record their own version of the song -- as long as your publishing rights are honored. By Gwen turning their song into a hit, with lots of airplay and sales, she put lots more money in their pockets than when Talk Talk first released the song. I would assume they are grateful for the amount of money her version made for them.
Guys, I was not even talking about that. Music tastes aside and whether or not It's my life is a cover (and not an original), No Doubt is mostly known for that song. I bet you can hear it at least one time per day on the radio if not more! My point is, this guy goes to a talk show and claims he had no idea his current girlfriend is famous for singing one of the most karaoke-d songs... and that Gwen, on the other hand, already knew of his country songs and him. Well, excuse me while I roll my eyes at that.
And kudos to Gwen for her much more wide musical knowledge.
Actually, that's only the way you took it. My take was that since he was on The Voice, there was probably a song or two she MAY have heard but bottom line, she was extremely well known even though he didn't know it was her singing it! Her music is known internationally! He also said that she would have had to start at square one with his. He wasn't acting like he was important at all...
