Yeah true but I saw him on something here on RUclips...
I don't know if it was part of the Jerry Seinfeld Comedians in Cars or what... but he was sitting on the chair next to Carl Reiner in his house and I have to admit that I was surprised at how much older much more fragile he was.. finally really showing his age but he still had a great attitude and was sharp as a tack .

Blazing Saddles and Young Frankenstein are his masterpieces, with the edge going to the latter. Cloris Leachman's exceptional rendering of Frau Blucher is a sublime, awe-inspiring performance so spot on and steady it almost defies logic in its polished perfection. A priceless gem of an unforgettable performance. Pure movie magic of the highest order. Of course, for those of you who haven't seen it, but will now, having read my effusive if not somewhat untethered review of her stunning work in Young Frankenstein, it will be a heartbreaking or at least bitter disappointment. But still....

Mel would be one the faces on Mount Rushmore if it was all about best comedic talents of all time. Mel could do everything related to comedy- stand up, writing, acting, casting of tv and films, directing tv and film, work with the best talent comedy has produced. He was so well liked by his industry contemporaries that Alfred Hitchcock co-wrote High Anxiety. I didn't know that till I saw Conan's JIb Jab interview with Mel. Jimmy's interview with Mel is really good as well. I think people forget that Mel got his start with Syd Cesar on Your Show Of Shows. So his initial work other than standup was on TV. Then he hooked up with Buck Henry and produced Get Smart. This was a show that was almost too good for TV and I don't say that just because of it's production value.

OMG, look at Jimmy's suit, lol. I love Mel Brook's movies. When Mel said Frank told him just don't do comedy I was remined of when he asked Gene Wilder to do Young Frankenstein and Gene said only if he didn't put himself in the movie.

***** I'm guessing you're the old person that I was referring to. Sorry for being frank, but you need to pick up the pace and stop reminiscing about how it used to be to the pharmacist.
