    I'm currently using Electrolux's own brand descaler/cleaner for my Zanussi Washer Dryer every 6 months or so and it seems to work well. I wouldn't recommend using the time saver when running a maintenance wash though, as you want to allow the product to remove as much gunk and limescale as possible. I always clean the filter afterwards, as I usually get chunks of limescale from the heating element trapped in the filter. Like yourself, I always leave the draw and door ajar, regularly clean the draw and regularly wash at 60 with a Bio powder containing oxygen bleach. My machine will be 7 years old in December and doesn't have any visible mold issues or smells.

    I found switching to a plant-based softener has really helped reduce manky door seal. I do wipe it regularly though also.

    For all my front load washers I just put bleach and demestos on a 90 degree cycle and it seems to clean the door seal,the steam from the heat gets to all places of the drum under the holes,I do this like every 3 months.keeps the hoses clean too.

    Buy a 5 micron water filter and fit it in the water supply line to the washing machine. It will stop sediment. You will be astonished at what it collects over time.

    When your washer stinks, make sure to clean out the catch trap on the pump which is somewhere inside the machine. Also leave the door open after each use, do not shut the door, to allow it to ventilate. Also I use Fabuloso in my washer to remove the sewer smell. It will foam up like crazy and make foam come out of the machine all over the place, but it works to get the bacteria and junk out of the drain line which causes the smells.

    Just a heads up, The section where you talk about washing machine cleaners is missing the audio, Take care x

      The microphone played up during that section so the audio only comes out of one speaker but I can still hear it on my iPhone, iPad and TV.

    On my washer, there's actually a way you can take the front bit of the draw off. So that you can easily clean it.

      I said in the video that the day before I used a 95 degree programme to wash some tea towels so it wasn’t necessary for me to run another 95 degree wash. I followed the instructions on the washing machine cleaner that stated run the machine on a 60 degree wash, which is what I did.

    Bleach into washing machine???serious?

    • @ibaisaic
      @ibaisaic  Месяц назад +1

      I have used bleach based cleaners to remove black marks inside a washing machine for many years with no problems as long as a full cycle is run with the machine empty to rinse it all out.
