The difference between sod1 and sod2 is hard to get used to when you do it in reverse. Not gonna lie man do I miss the sod1 story elements. Hopefully sod3 is a good blend of both.
The strange thing is that there were a lot of interesting aspects in the first game that didn't carry over into the second. The power changes based on the caliber of the weapon, the wheels coming off and the way you drive etc etc changes. I would have liked to see these little things in the second chapter too.
This is one of my favorite all-time games. I think the fighting is better than SOD2 (maybe because I have more gameplay time in this one) and the executions are insane. Such a fun game to play!

Rick Grimes had been in a coma for "four to five weeks" According to the writer. Considering he and Lori were sorta heading for divorce prior to that anyhow, I'm not shocked she moved on quick when Shane told her he was dead. Then it was about a week from when Rick woke to when he found them. So technically it was 5 to 6 weeks he'd been away from Lori and his son.
Laughed so hard setting yourself on fire on the wilkerson mission, I'm currently hooked on playing this, my kids also laugh so hard when I accidentally lit myself on fire, so funny seeing the characters running around in flames. :D

yeah great game ... I have dropped hundreds of hours into 2 but only went through the first one a couple of times - and not done the expansion of it .. I think I might go give that a bash now. nice vid too :)
State of decay was an unexpected gem for me. I loved it. All my characters survived except Marcus...a glitch dropped 3 hunters in a house.. State of Decay 2, I am bad at. Incredible at stealth and scavenging, but cannot progress with outposts. But i do have a soft spot for this game

It's easier just to leave it there and hoof it while leaving incidental loot in the locker. Nice try though!
i like killing hordes with no weapon, using marcus and sam, once i maximize their stamina and unlock headbutting two zombies for marcus, and sweeping and autokill for sam.
This game looks like more of a complete experience over SoD2. SoD2 looks more combat and mechanics driven. I'm on Playstation so I'll prolly never play these, but SoD1 looks like it is more to my tastes.
Alan is a Shane, and would be at the top of my hit list with the Wilkerson. How long did Shane wait to move in on Lori? Depends on when the hospital staff abandoned the hospital Rick was in. A human being can only last 3 days without water. My guess, Rick probably woke up 2 days at most after the staff abandoned the place. I absolutely hated Shane and did quite the happy dance when he finally got what was coming to him. I couldn't stand Lori either.

He just doesn’t like stupid or incompetent ppl. He didn’t want to dxe himself. When he got sick he told and asked to be put out of his misery. I don’t think that makes him a Shane just my opinion 🤷🏽

I've loved this game series since i saw the trailer on Xbox 360. State of Decay 1 is better at a lot of things, and State of Decay 2 is better at others. My personal preference is the First game, however the introduction into Gasoline for cars, Multiplayer, the ability to have multiple maps i guess? Upgrading and repairing cars, and the expansions are what made SoD2. I absolutely hope that the 3rd game is gritty, and has STORY STORY STORY. We need storyline and development, emotions, rather than just mindless zombie killing....
Sod1 is better immersion wise, you can see your companion actually go out to loot and call for help when got into a jam. I wiss they bring it back in sod3.
Graphics aren't that bad for 2013, but man it would be sweet to see a remaster with cryEngine 5.x. SoD uses cryEngine 3. Got to say I like the takedowns in this, why did they get rid of them for SOD2? Yeah Lori was banging Shane after only a few weeks of thinking Rick was dead.
