I think the Bronc☆ should have a rally car livery like Rockstar energy drink over a base of brown and white like a painted horse.
If HillBilly wants Snow Camo then it should be Snow Camo.
For sure camo wrap but I think it would be even cooler with mustard yellow, olive drab green, and gray

I like the LOOK of the "Bronc⭐" temporary logo 👍 ; I think it would be SWEET done-up as TREE BRANCH segments ( sorta like Realtree , MossyOak , etc. ) . You'd need an airbrush artist to paint it , _OR_ perhaps have someone do it on a computer with art software , printed onto a clear decal (?) , _OR_ have it printed onto a snow-camo WRAP ( so the Layton paintjob could be any solid color underneath ) & _WRAP-IT_ up 🎁 .
Finally the Bronco is getting some love..... Happy for you Hill Billy....

I've been looking forward to this build. Living in Florida, snow camo doesn't make a lot of sense to me, but if it makes sense to Hillbilly and that's what he wants, I'd say go with it.

Come on BRO! What's wrong with his first suggestion, the General Lee paint job. That's what I suggested they paint the charger as, but I doubt they will. But it would be perfect for Hillbilly. If they REALLY MUST be pc about it, they can leave off the flag on the roof(although that flag wasn't really the official confederate flag but the Army of Northern Virginia Battle Flag, and yes I'm a 4th gen Floridian, and I'm no racist)

My suggestions: Keep the exterior Bronco look, and use the interior of a ranger bed inside of the Bronco. The ranger bed interior will provide both a better hauling surface, as well as provide better durability to the elements when ran without a top. Definitely add a massive winch up front! Keep Hillbilly's swing away spare tire holder. You might could consider getting a Ranger donor chassis frame, especially since the BroncStar frame has some through rust. Using a ranger chassis frame will also give the long wheelbase Hillbilly wants for his truck. Stretch the BroncStar rear body. The Ranger chassis frame can be shortness to any desired wheelbase and length. Just my two cents worth!

If they cut the back half off and add a Ranger bed it wouldn't be a Bronco any more. Great idea to put the Ranger bed on the inside of the Bronco.
Wondering if the spare tire holder will be strong enough to hold the giant tires it will get.
There are aftermarket swing away spare tire carriers similar to the one on the BroncStar, which which mount to the rear bumper combo with a pivot point which is able to handle a large oversized tire, as well as having provision to carry an off-road style jack. I saw these on RUclips Jeep channel, perhaps Bleeping Jeep, but not sure which channel.
I think snow camo would look pretty cool. Be interesting to see how you do it as well. I know it's the cool thing to narrow the nose but if you're doing the 1 tons full width it really isn't necessary especially where you're pushing the axle forward. Biggest reason not to would be just to watch the recovery with the Blazer. You won't get so much crap on your windshield constantly.. Narrow bodies are for dry desert wheeling.
As soon as Robby mentioned moving the spare to the cage I thought prerunner style. Then when he mentioned the need to relocate the battery for articulation, I thought prerunner fiberglass fenders. Which by the way you can fit to a Ranger bed. Then when Hill Billy mentions snow camo, again my first thought was...German WWII black, white, and gray naval camo. Oh the fun I could have with this Broncstar!

I myself would love to see Robby paint the snow camo. It would be amazing to see the process as well as the final product. I’m sure it would turn out amazing and be a great learning experience.

I like Hillbillies idea about a snow camo paint job, but to take it a step further do the BroncStar logo in a Desert Camo pattern. The browns and tans will really jump off the whites and greys of the Snow Camo

@@RobbyLayton you realize a blazer and Bronco were pretty much the same the avalanche and am explorer package had cargo beds you could even get a topper for the avalanche but the full size blazer had a removable top with rear seats the $10 blazer was competition for the bronco 2

Black Stallion makes really good weld supplies, their tig gloves are great, and I just have their green button up weld jacket but it's surprisingly comfortable, and they have tons of options for jackets though.

Hey Robby Layton. Been a bronco ii guy sense my first car at 14 somewhere around 10 years. Seen a lot of different builds on the ole girls and I figured I’d let you know a stock ranger tailgate fits in the broncos hatch location. You can even keep the bronco ii lights and tire swing but that swing might need reinforced. Love the broncstar. Cheers from another bronco ii owner.

I think the BroncStar should be painted with "chalk board" paint, so that people can write all over it. That way you can have new expressions and Laffy Taffy jokes all of the time.

I really hope you're planning an engine swap, those 1st gen 2.9s are notorious for cracking heads even without running hot, a 4.0 would bolt straight in.
It really needs a new engine, this one leaks so much compression that it throws the dipstick out since it got supercharged

Please use Hearing protection it’s something so simple that goes such a long way. As you get older you’re ears will charge you for all the abuse you’ve done to them. It would be sad not to be able to hear your grand kids

Don't throw the spare tire carrier away, those are getting pretty hard to find. If you guys don't want it I wouldn't mind swinging by and grabbing it. I also have some spare bronco 2 parts laying around if you need anything let me know. Love that you guys are building the broncstar! I loved my 88 bronco 2 I had. Also have some ranger parts laying around if you need anything like that.

Only issue I have is the same with adian's truck, big mud tires added to a little V6 doesn't usually work too well, there's a reason they say there's no replacement for displacement.

Snow came it is! I have faith in Robby to do it in a way that makes it pop. I think this is going to be a great build project. For Hillbillies sake no LS. Spare to the back of the cage with a little winch for hunting.

Robbies Wife is too cute. The sound effects were right on. If Hillbilly is getting a used bike. I recommend a 2009 or newer Touring with the 103ci motor. They have a factory 180mm rear tire and will fit a 200 with no modifications.
For overhead work I love the Lincoln electric hybrid jackets, leather upper and sleeves but the rest is cotton. For light work, black stallion gear has done me well. Tillman gloves have always been what I come back to as well.

My guess would be a color that probably showed up on production vehicles in 1965. I know Mountain William won't like it, because it was a GM color. We used to call it Everybody's Blue. It was Marina Blue. A friend of mine had a Bronco of this style. He loved that color and painted his Bronco Marina. It looked fantastic‼️🥰

Our shop could really use a lift like that for the engine jobs we do, when you have to lower the engine, trans, and cradle down to replace the engine. Also, Bakers Gas makes some really good and cool welding jackets! They're cheap too!
