The day I have been waiting for has finally arrived! The day that the new Republic Services Pythons service Henderson!!! I originally heard from Delvar back in August that we were going to get new Pythons sometime in September and it was quite surprising as it had been several years since Republic Services Vegas bought more Pythons because it seems they have been wanting to make the ZR their signature truck. The company as a whole seems to want that as well. The Heil SST was also an epic failure in the Henderson yard so I thought that had sealed the deal on Republic buying more Heil ASLs, glad I was wrong. I still had the faintest hope that Henderson would get more Pythons for years though haha. The reason we got more has varied from drivers I have asked. I have heard, 'They were probably cheaper to get than the ZR' and 'They got them for the drivers that are not trained in the ZRs'. I guess I will never know but it doesn't matter haha. The number of exact Pythons we were gonna get has also changed depending on the person I have asked. I originally heard 12, then 9, and now 6. We have 4 so far plus we got a new ZR numbered 1722. 1723 belongs to the main Vegas yard, so the new Pythons range from 1724 to 1727. I also know of the other drivers who got them so I will try to record the other units too.
Mark says this truck is okay. It is slow he says. The arm runs at a great pace from my point of view but the blade seems to be what slows him down. I am sure with time it will get faster. He also told me one of the rollers on the grabbers is not turning correctly so that is causing him to knock over carts. I heard he was gonna try to get the rollers from 1531 onto this truck haha. This is his permanent truck now, 1531 was totaled by a driver's incident. I also asked if he would prefer a ZR and no he doesn't want one of those lol.
Now onto my opinion on these trucks, they look so sharp! I love how fast the arm is for being new. Pythons are known for their fast arm cycles! The hopper cover is now standard on Republic Pythons but that means no more double grabbing with the bigger cans, there is no room. These trucks look great on Peterbilts. I do miss the 'Automated Collection' phrase that was on the older trucks. It's a shame they didn't put that on these trucks haha. Are you happy to see new Pythons in Henderson?
Thanks to Mark for making this video possible! Enjoy this new Python on route! It was super fun to watch. We still have about 13 old Pythons left so they are not going anywhere soon. I saw 1526, 1529, 1530, 1533, and 1536 out that day. It will be cool seeing these new trucks work along side the older classic red Pythons. There will be a second part to this truck!

What a sharp unit! Did you happen to catch this on one of its first days on route? Interesting to see it's not in Republics new wrap, makes it look like a "old" brand new truck lol
@@zp12684 Very sharp indeed! Yes, it's only been on route for one week, I caught it this past Monday. New wrap? You mean the 'Sustainability in Action?' I was hoping we could get some new trucks like that but it has yet to be adopted here in Henderson.
Okay, I’m not going to lie, that thing he did at 5:00 with moving the cans was smooth.. He was pretty good with this truck to be honest, not often you see pythons retracting and dumping that fast rather than using the auto dump feature. Too bad it didn’t lid flip though. 10/10 great video

this is so cool man! im so happy they finally got pythons. i bet some drivers are very happy about this pruchase lol. anyways, how does mark like it? is it his truck now? are they going to get rid of the red pythons since they have these? i hope some drivers like Freddie and Grub could also try this out!
@@TrashDudeMatt Thank you! It is very cool! Mark says the blade on the truck is slow and one of the rollers on the grabbers doesn't work right so it knocks stuff over. He also says he still gets behind on this new one, but he prefers it over the ZR. It's a little bit of new Pythons so they still need some of the red ones. I'm sure Freddie and Grub will only get these if their normal trucks break down.
The drivers that have the new Pythons so far is Mark, Bridgette, Paul, and Juan.
Very interesting to see vegas buy pythons again, pythons aren't my favorite trucks but definitely cool to see some new ones. What do the drivers think about these over the zrs?
@@DanielWDonuts These trucks were the greatest surprise to me lol. Some drivers prefer these and some prefer the ZRs.

That truck will be renumbered. We already have a 1725 in Cheyenne?
It only services Henderson most likely so no need to renumber it

CHY and HEN truck numbers are in the same pool. Like we got a new truck a few months ago numbered 1717 but HEN already had up to 1721 so it was renumbered to 1723. If that truck stays in HEN it will be renumbered to 1729 or higher
@@Trashman702 Okay, it's odd for them to drop the ball on numbering the trucks but I guess it happens. I wonder when they will change the numbers.

Yea you wood think they would know what numbers are already taken right? A few of the brand new McNeilus Pete 520 FLs had to be renumbered too
@@Trashman702 I'm guessing Heil/McNeilus made a mistake when receiving the numbering information which caused them to repeat numbers. Oh well, they'll fix it.
