Drinking and boating and then playing the sovereign citizen game makes him extra douchey. And trying to hide behind native American tribal law to claim he's not within the court's jurisdiction is just 💩 sprinkles on top. I absolutely despise sovereign citizens...🤬

There's no such thing as "special appearance" in court. No one coming to court is special above others.

By 5 minutes in, the judge should've said "you don't understand common language so I'm ruling that you cannot represent yourself, next case". These judges need to stop wasting time and tax payer dollars on these assholes.

"Do you not understand what 3 years is??" LOL!!! Woohoo, Judge Gauthier!! I agree with you, Marc - his "buddy" should have been held in contempt and removed from the court room. I couldn't be a judge - I have no patience for stupidity, especially for when it's just the sake of it. I'd be the judge with "that" reputation... 😏😁

They always bring up that "jurisdiction" nonsense. Jursidiction asserted is assumed, if the defendant wants to challenge it, he or she has to bring it up by motion prior to trial.

I'd bet the boating thing is actually WHY he isn't mentioning maritime law. Anyone with a brain knows that their ideas about jurisdiction are ridiculous entirely, but they usually acknowledge that maritime law IS an allowed jurisdiction under the constitution (and argue it doesn't apply because they are on the land) so if he did even the ridiculous sov cit arguments would fall apart.

Regardless, the judicial system bends over backwards to ensure that the rights of the accused are not violated. Therefore, making a statement that you reserve all your rights is less than useless.
