I watched this video because I want to be an environmental engineer like her! I’m a little nervous about the amount of work this major entails in college and being a female in the field. But after hearing her story, I am inspired that I can do it too. Thank you for this interview!
I am working as an Environment Engineer. Completed my Masters in Environment Management and working in this department.Also I have a passion to teach students about Environment and Current Technology to resolve the problem related to Air,water and Soil. I am happy to be the part of Environment Community 🙂
It can be hard to see the bigger picture! I'd recommend trying to pursue work terms or joining an engineering team to see what working on some real-life challenges are actually like! Talking to your Profs can also help you can some understanding. Best of luck!

@@nicholaschuma6304 one of the great things about engineering is that you can choose how you want to work. Some engineers will love working in the filed while others would prefer an office setting.
There are lots of available jobs in the Environmental Engineering industry. A great way to learn more about what area of Environmental Engineering you'd like to work in is by participating in Co-op.
Hi Purna, we are from the University of British Columbia in Canada, so this video was specifically highlighting one of our alumni. While we definitely have students go work in the US and internationally, many of our students will remain in Canada.

The main focus for every engineering discipline is problem solving as that's at the core of engineering :)
