Judges arent supposed to patipate in any political events, nor worked on any campaign, nor make donations. Sometimes their husband or wife will make a 10 or $30 donation but a judge will get called in over it. Anyway, next a list of prominent candidates are given to the President. He or she decides. Roberts - CONTROL YOUR JUSTICES! Even you must recognize that Thomas and Alito must recuse themselves from any case involving Trump or J6. If you want SCOTUS to have even a shred of respect, you need to do something to restore ethics on the court.

Roberts is a coward. The SC legal staff should all walkout - refuse to work with corrupt judges. The Solicitor General's Office legal staff should do the same. In fact all lawyers with cases before the SC should refuse to work with this Court - a court without ethics Roberts would have to do something then.
If they actually cared about respect and credibility they wouldn't be in this situation to begin with. More than willing to bet everyone who's been there for more than a year is corrupt we just don't know how. I just wish they wouldn't do this shit with plain as day conflicts like Alito and Thomas.

The reason the court is majority Conservative today is because there were three vacancies during Trump’s presidency. Had a Democrat won it would now be Moderate to Liberal majority. I remember a day when we all felt confidence and pride in thinking that our Supreme Court was impartial and stuck to the rule of the law. Both Alito and Thomas need to recuse themselves from all Trump cases to maintain integrity in the Supreme Court

In the past we never would have had some of society's losers being on the court.
I am 70 years old. The current slime ball members of SCOTUS bear no resemblance to what I learned about in primary or high school. I am not naive, but these maggots currently on the court should be prevented from holding ANY office in any Federal, State or Local government, period. If they do not agree, maybe they should go to a Library and read the texts I read when I was 10 to 18 years old. Putting on a black robe does not a judge make. They are all traitors, just to greater or lesser degrees.

That is not true. That 38 years figure you cite includes millions who died as infants or children of infectious diseases. If you made it to adulthood people would generally live FAR longer than just 38 years.

The recently revealed behaviors of Justices Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito regarding questionable financial gifts and disclosures are bad enough. The more recent incident of Justice Alito flying the American flag upside down at his home in sympathy for the "stop the steal" movement disgusts me beyond words. I am a decorated gulf war veteran who served ten years in the Navy defending my country and the flag for which stands and this behavior, especially from a supreme court justice, shows me that I now have to defend my country not just from foreign enemies but also from my neighbors. That sickens me to my soul. And it's not just Thomas and Alito. At their senate confirmation hearings Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh, and Amy Coney Barrett all three said that Roe v. Wade was decided law, had been challenged AND UPHELD several times and they did not intend to challenge it. ALL THREE OF THEM LIED! Like many Americans I have filled out applications for a number of jobs in my life. One thing I remember that was on every application for employment I ever filled out was a paragraph just above the signature line. It states that you understand that lying on this application is cause for immediate dismissal. Apparently that does not apply to supreme court justices. These matters are made worse yet by Chief Justice Roberts who apparently has no control of his court. Is it coincidence that all of the justices addressed herein are republicans appointed by republican presidents. Only one of which ascended to the White House by a majority of the popular vote. This is what happens when you live in a country experimenting in Minority Rule. The Constitution states that Justices "shall hold their Offices during good Behavior." This means that the Justices hold office as long as they choose and can only be removed from office by impeachment. It's time for congress to get off it's ass and save our country from these liars and cheats!
