As someone who owned an independent record store during this era, gems like this EP just prove what I have always believed and said; The 60's were the most important decade for modern music of all time, but it was the 80's that was the BEST decade for music, ever!
I love finding cool obscure stuff like this. I know this is gonna sound really hipster but I just feel really lucky when I find something cool that not a lot of people know about.
Great band! Saw live somewhere in the bay area in '85 and bought the album later. Still have it, but had forgotten about it. So much great music in those days!
Had to replay this awesome album cuz after the first song it died. Wanted the entire album which went over to my playlists!!!! So glad to have the entire killer album !!!! It’s so d in great how the hell it didn’t make it over to USA sure fits right into the 80’s music & now !!!! What a such
Thanks for uploading this great band!!! They r awesome 80’s indeed lovin them so much love back to u & subscriber to u as well new but better later than never!!!! ❤️👍☮️🔥😻🇺🇸😹🦊🙏
What makes me sad is that a) these acts are forgotten, even derided, yet b) the kids have no ability to deliver anything like this despite all the new technologies and options that make it easier to get raw passion on tape compared to 1984.
I dont disagree, but I think that you're looking in the wrong place. There's always good music being made, you've just gotta hunt for it. Just like you have to hunt for this.
@@toppingsday3614 While I get your point, and things show signs of maybe being on the improve (a bit), in 1984 the charts were covered in great music Lionel Ritchie to The Cure. Just under the charts were Psychedelic Furs, Sisters Of Mercy, Shriekback, Front 242 etc. Indie was pretty well all like this. Rougher maybe but passionate. Today, what do we have to look forward to from turning on the radio? As a Mix Engineer, I hear all manner of things, sadly most of it has not been the equal of similar material from 30 years ago. It is not about genre, it is about courage. Compare bands of a similar position in the market: Coldplate to The Church, Adhele to Sade, Cardi G(an) to Madonna (Stacy Q even), Dfat Plunk to Fancy or Modern Talking, Dranke to Grandmaster Flash... All things are not equal at all. If we can't let ourselves see & say it, we cannot change it, merely encourage what is right now. :-)
@@BenedictRoffMarsh Like with every artform, the styles and trends change over time. Look at the art scene. People still paint in expressionism, impressionism, cubism or surrealism and the results are better than ever, but in the typical art gallery, there is mostly odd stuff. That's the way the art & media world works. And Daft Punk is way better than Modern Talking, they even have much better looking faces ;-)
Been listening to this over the last few months. Great album. 80s music will always be unmatched.

@dexterlee569 There are always exceptions, but these do not disprove the decline - cognitive, creatively, socially, in every way
