I just got mine a few months ago. I've used it a few times a month since then. Never used a chain saw till I got this one. Still haven't oiled it yet. Just saw this today about oiling mini chain saws.
Is it necessary to oil mini chain saws and if so, why?

Well... they provide you with oil for a reason... but with mini chainsaws, you can probably get away with it for a bit longer. You would not use a regular chainsaw without oil. End of the day, it's only about a $50 tool

I bought a similar one off of Amazon. Mine didn't come with the little squeeze bottle. But my mini chainsaw has a area to put the oil into tho
