The problem with mine is the chain comes off as the screw is rubbish and moves about when in use.

The fact that your floor is so far away from the wall trim in some of those spots could indicate you have a foundation issue. Could be a crack or something in the foundation which is allowing critters in and causing the floor to sag. I've seen it in a lot of foundation exploration and repair videos.

I just got mine a few months ago. I've used it a few times a month since then. Never used a chain saw till I got this one. Still haven't oiled it yet. Just saw this today about oiling mini chain saws. Is it necessary to oil mini chain saws and if so, why?
Well... they provide you with oil for a reason... but with mini chainsaws, you can probably get away with it for a bit longer. You would not use a regular chainsaw without oil. End of the day, it's only about a $50 tool
it keeps the tool working well and reduces heat which is more important on the bigger units when you are cutting a 12 inch tree, etc - heat will destroy the blade over time faster than just it dulling on it's own... but it's to also keep the motor from working harder than it has to - I oil mine like he showed before each day I use it... purrs along It's a cute little unit and perfect for small stuff for sure

Thanks for posting. The trick is to loosen the bolt before adjusting the tension screw. Adjust the tension screw. Then retighten the bolt.
I have done that. The screw driver they provide is useless. I got a larger screw driver. I've not had a problem changing the chain. Just not user friendly.. Thanks for the suggestion.

@@kellymac76 Yikes. I've read that Saker can be a bit of a horror show with this. If you got off Amazon, you could try returning it to get another.
