    Do you currently journal? Or is it something you'd like to start doing?

      I just started organising my journaling. Watching this video was number 2 on my To Do List for my personal journal.

      yep. I set up my bujo as: future log, and before each month the monthly setup (the traditional square calendar), and each week has it's own spread vertical weeks, then I have the daily rapid log. I don't understand how you use only one spread for each month

    Ah I love this so much- over the last two months, especially as I do a few less videos and a lot more freelance and personal animation production, I've been tracking with a little bit of a mix of notes, white board and bullet. But it's been so nice, especially when you're in charge of your own schedule but want to get a lot more done. It's helped with routine, fitness, brain dumping in flow of consciousness, and knocking out tasks- this journal is mighty tempting though, especially if I want to take this on the road. Glad you're well man!

      That’s so awesome! I think the most important part is getting all that clutter bouncing around our heads and “onto paper” helps us focus so much. And I know for me, tracking my habits has helped keep me accountable. Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment, Brookes! It’s so appreciated!

    Going to grab my journal tomorrow! I think I prefer your older method, so that's how I'm going to start and see how it goes

    Finally managed to watch this - I love the simplicity of the current layout. I agree that we tend to make more space for things that eventually not get used and I myself feel like it's a waste of space sometimes. I keep two journals these days, one for my monthly finances where I write down income and outcome and do some calculations when needed for how to pay off one thing or another. Usually the following to spreads are my brain-dumps / notes. The other journal is more for constructive work, when I have an idea I usually write them down there and extrapolate them right there... one thing I do feel I'm lack of tracking is my habits which I shall start since yesterday. :D As always, love the fact that you share your ideas and methods of keeping track of things and being accountable. Keep up the good work Brent, ;)

    Good stuff Brent. I've never considered doing something like this but I just might need to now.

      Thanks, man! I appreciate it! Keeping it simple is the only way I've been able to stick with it, and it's helped me in so many ways. Journaling this way gets all that clutter out of my head and allows me to see how my month looked from a bird's-eye view.

    Hi, do you use a future log? What happens if your page is full and you have more stuff to do

  • @AlanTwigg

    How do you keep track of your appointments when there's just one line for each day of the month? 😅

    • @BrentGalloway
      @BrentGalloway  Месяц назад

      I shorten, abbreviate, and use initials as much as possible to keep things concise. (e.g. "Dr Appt," "[First Name] BDay," "Dentist," etc.) However, I also use the calendar app on my phone for important appointments and dates. I originally had a 2-spread layout where I had weekly breakdowns as well for appointments and notes but I never used them and found it a waste of space. I like my daily journal simple and concise. This is my fifth year using this method, and it works great for me!

    Are you still using post-it notes for your daily list?

      I am! Still simple and effective for daily tasks.

    Why did you get rid of the emotion tracker? Was it not useful or?

    • @BrentGalloway
      @BrentGalloway  2 года назад +3

      Yeah, it was fun, but for me, ended up not being as valuable to look back on.
