The fact that the drill thing on his alt mod was used by g1 brawn in a g1 episode, make this figure even more funnier
It's an enjoyable little nod yes.
@@PerspectiveEnd YEEESSSS.
Heh
7:15 Personally, and I think a lot of people can agree with me, I think Ratchet and Brawn’s vehicle modes are both more futuristic versions of those RV-styled lunar rovers. With the exception that Brawn’s rover mode is built for mining, given the drill.
Brawn could be that yeah, but like more a personal conveyance. It doesn't look built for a crew. More like a Lunar Quad Bike.
"Now he's just flat out stolen the Juggernaut's helmet"
That's a pretty epic accomplishment if you as me
Also, I can't believe you didn't make a gag of him looking like a toilet.
Go with Sass Hands
I didn't think about the toilet thing till now.
I’m sick and this is the perfect start to my morning
Glad to help you through the disease.
@@PerspectiveEnd thank you
This is the Brawn we deserve and I hope that we'll get some Energon Gauntlets for him as an Upgrade Kit and as well as a Reference to the Canceled Universe Brawn figure.
I know not this Universe Brawn figure or his Energon Gauntlets.
Animated actually RESPECTS the original while adding its own stylization onto the characters, you recognize optimus as himself, but his personality, appearance and build are a lot different then the original, same with bumblebee, megatron, blurr and some others
Yes. That's precisely it. It's not just being the exact opposite to be the opposite. It's changing the look to it's own thing without displaying that it hates it's source material like the movies did.
@@PerspectiveEndthe bay films seem like it wants it all to be mature and adult like, kinda like the "quit having fun" meme, even tho I like majority of the designs, it is a tad try hard at times, animated knew it was a unreal and immature idea, and used it to create an amazing storyline and characters
Dude really does look like he stole the juggernauts helmet
I'm the Juggernaut b!+c#
The tiny goblin thief!
I like the bumblebee designs on most of them. Better than making one faction humanoid and the other monsters with one being a flying dorito. But yeah this looks like a great representation of that Braun design and I'm looking forward to all the ones coming down the pike.
Absolutely. I always hated the weird Species aspect of the movies before now.
Right? I wouldn't have minded what they did with the Cons as much if it was universal across both factions. That being, you'd find some bots on the Autobots AND Decepticons that were a little more normal looking like the Autobots were, and some bots on the Decepticons AND Autobots that were a little more... however you'd describe how all the Decepticons looked in those movies.
Instead it looked like Autobots and Decepticons were races instead of factions, *_which they aren't. EVER. They aren't supposed to be._*
Brawn's v mode is like a futuristic version of the ninja Turtle shellrazor
IT DOES LOOK LIKE A NINJA TURTLE THING!!!
0:28 honestly sass hands fits the bill, also something you should try with ratchet (or anyone with sass hands) is make it look like they're deep in thought at a table
His arms cant bend in enough for that.
@@PerspectiveEndaw man
I always think of that wrist articulation as 'check please' articulation
That's a good one.
Who would Brawn be digging trenches for? He's one of the smallest Autobots, and his drill is pretty small in proportion to himself, so the trenches he digs would be tiny.
I mean they could trip a Decepticon maybe?
Maybe his alt mode was used for energon mining before the war or something? That's my personal headcanon anyway
@@quakywacky8048 he'd get a drill length in before the entire rest of his vehicle mode forces him to stop.
When I say Trench digger, I'm not saying like a Combat Trench. I'm talkin like a cable trench.
It could be for baby boys like bee
Liking the Bee movie designs got me into making my own OC based on these cool versions of the Autobots lol
They are so much more stylish than the bay one's it hurts.
Out of the first wave of the deluxe BB figures, this one is my favorite
I do get why. I just think he has stiff competition.
7:23 "and I took that personally"
You should. Death to all Drill Tanks.
Ah Brawn. The only fictional character I know who is famous for getting shot in the shoulder.
I mean he got shot through the shoulder, but he was running full tilt at the gun at the time. So he didn't get shot in the shoulder he got shot in the everything.
Thanks for summing up exactly my thoughts on character design “it doesn’t have to look exactly like G1 but I should know who I’m looking at without the name”. The Impressionist movement Mr Bay…look it up.
Yeah it's real simple, and I don't know why it took them this long to do it.
@@PerspectiveEnd probably because no-one in the Bayformers films liked the property, so gave less than 2 shits about putting any thought into it.
His back when he is in robot mode kinda looks like a sci-fi helmet.
Yeah I can feel that.
Nail-checking wrists sounds the best
It is the most descriptive.
You said a few things here that was long over due and needed to be said. Bravo kiddo. You're kill'in it.
I feel like I've said stuff along these lines many times before.
I think my favorite thing about this version is if like an 8 year old saw Bumblebee and knew nothing about G1 they'd probably think he was a short little brawler type, which is of course great design.
Yeah you could tell just looking at this dude, he's the Punchy type.
Finally I can watch a perspective end video when it comes out
Congrats on being early.
I don't know why but I find his vehicle mode so cute
I know why. Because it's smol, and round.
He looks like juggernaut if he retired and let his niece paint his armour
He looks like Juggernaut in his 90s when he shurnk down a lot.
Yes
The best of the 3 new bumblebee studio series delixes
We will see. There is still one to review.
Your remark about tigatrons and rhinoxs is so true lmao. At my local toys R us there is a literal PILE of about 30 rhinoxs (no exaggeration it’s literally that many) all just sitting on the shelf because no one is buying them
Because no one wants that terrible mold.
@@PerspectiveEnd you said it first buddy
I feel like this body with ROTF Brawn's head would be a pretty neat match.
I mean that things head is pretty generic so it would work with most things.
I love this figure because this just captures brawn perfectly
I love the build, cause it's the bulky little Autobot that snuck it's way into my top 3 favorite Autobots, Brawns whole thing is he's the strongest and toughest Autobot there is, able to fight Megatron in a head to head fight and come out unscathed (something that actually happened, tho in reality he also fought Starscream and Soundwave at the same time as Megatron), and that just shows how they wrecked his character in the 86 movie.
I mean, is getting shot like DIRCETLY in your EVERYTHING a change to his character. That shot went in his shoulder and existed his kidney. As good as he is at punching I think that's kind of a Reasonable point to die at. Like he didn't go down from anything less than CATASTROPHIC injury.
@@PerspectiveEnd I mean yeah, that makes sense, the issue is in the show Megatron couldn't even dent Brawns armor with shots to him, but one shot in the movie was enough to Peirce his armor in two places and blow up his insides.
Hotrod and Slammer are on Amazon, and if you're willing to get in under Legacy packaging, Blaster is on Preorder for April 1st
Yeah I've got no problems picking that up under legacy like it was supposed to be.
Sounds like an April Fools joke.
Narcissist wrist for the win!!
Man this figure is amazing.
Yeah I really liked that one when I heard it too.
I think plugging the driller on the gun, makes it look like a bazooka that shoots explosive drillers.
Kind of like Rambo's Bow?
@@PerspectiveEnd yeah
WE say you hate everything that isn't between Toon and Inking.
Inking? I think it's fair to say I actually like MOST transformers designs.
You’ve really got a point with who the bumblebee movie just had to get the basic shape and color down for you to recognize everyone in the Cybertron shot hell I think I recognized several characters in that one scene on my first viewing of the movie when with Crosshairs from Age of Extinction I did know who he was until year after the movie.
side note: did get my SS86 Starscream and it’s interesting the face is a new color and his fins are unpainted to match the animation like the two-pack of Skywarp and Thundercracker oh and his hands can now open which makes them look bad either open or closed. Upside to all this my Galvatron now has a throne.
Yeah that's the only reason I want that. The throne.
As for the movie. Yeah, I recognized literally every character instantly in bumblebee, and each time I saw a new one I was like "Oh! OH!" It was great.
So funny how I literally just got this guy a few days ago and I absolutely love him. Cannot put the little guy down. For me it has a fun fun FUN and not too simple transformation that I'm constantly changing him back and forth. Fantastic review as always @PerspectiveEnd!
It is just fun. It's got a quality that is better than the sum of it's parts. And thank you!
How have things been going?
@@PerspectiveEnd Oh man, I've definitely been good. Got my full time job and my health so I can't complain, lol. My channel keeps me busy with the little free time that I have but I absolutely love it. Who know there were so many cool people on RUclips? 😁👍
*Looks at the brawn figure I already have on my shelf* Ye!
Ye! Indeed.
These bb Figs are turning out to be great. I know wheeljack may be slightly worse then theses 2, but these 3 really are great
We will see what I think about the Wheeljack on Sunday.
Oh, and he stole Bumblebee's boots!
I love how little rufus looks here
He Smol.
There's an upgrade kit out on ebay somewhere where it literally turns brawn into a doom slayer transformer
Literally. It gives him a crucible sword a green visor a super shotgun. A blade arm and cannon too.
Honestly this was the most weirdest thing someone could make for him but i kinda find it cool
I saw that, it's a very fun idea.
@@PerspectiveEndyeah it is. Ngl ID software and hasbro should do a crossover one day
And make some doom slayer type Transformer. Or maybe use the mechs in some of the levels probably
Exactly, I wanted to recognize the characters without having to be told who the character was.
That is Verbatim 100% what I've always said.
I think the best part about this figure is its dynamic sculpt and the design it's based on, because of his proportions and everything, his articulation restrictions aren't that bothersome.I got mine yesterday and I've had so much fun posing him around.
Kind of precisely my thoughts. It's objectively not good on the posing front, but like I said with the shoulders it looks great. So while there is less poseability here than there should be what is there looks better than you would expect.
7:00 I got it, Doom slayer bugie
I do like that.
For me this design is a perfect example of taking a design from G1 and making it better and putting it through a movie filter. I love the different choices they made. Such as the ones you brought up like his head and his more oval chest and back.
I don't know that I'd say it's necessarily better, but different and great in it's own right.
@@PerspectiveEnd To each their own. I don’t feel that all the G1 designs are their best designs just cause they were first. I don’t mind Brawn’s G1 design but after seeing his Bumblebee movie design it just looks actually cool to me. I’ve actually started to like him a lot better and like his G1 version a lot better because of this design. I really hope we see more of him in the future.
welcome to the club of not finding anything new in stores
A week ago I found one legacy bulkhead hidden among kingdoms arcee and rhinoxes
@@Hugme778 thats the only exception in my store here in germany, and i bought the bulkhead righgt away
Man I was born in the club!
cant wait for you to review ss bumblebee wheeljack
Sunday.
well at least this Brawn doesn't become the victim of the SHOT THROUGH THE HEART song
and yes in the 1986 movie Brawn was shot in the Heart or spark, if you pause when he's falling down after being shot you can see a hole on the side of his torso where his spark would be
I swear I can't be the only one who's noticed that
I mean he gets nailed like the second he said "Stand fast"
And I don't think he was shot through the spark, especially since that didn't exist yet in the lore.
I think he just got shot through the everything. He was running full tilt so when he got hit the shot exited below where his rib cage would be on a human, just tearing through literally everything on the way there.
@@PerspectiveEnd fair its just that technically sparks do exist in the g1 continuity thanks to beast wars but yeah even if they didn't there's no way a shot to the torso like that wouldn't have hit something vital
Hello there
I like the alt mode of this Brawn, this kind of space dome car is one of my favorite types of vehicle shapes.
But I'm waiting for a Core Class Warpath, Bumblebee Movie Brawn isn't good enough to distract me from my life goals.
I have Battle Master Smashdown and Core Class Optimus Prime.
Is the new Core Class Iguanus worth it? What figure would you guys recommend? It can be from any franchise and toyline, but preferably a robot or armored man wearing a helmet (examples: Iron Man, Blue Beetle (Jaime), Spartans (historical or Halo it barely matters, I like both of them), medieval knights, samurai)
(Note: I don't like big figures, please don't recommend figures above 10 cm tall/long)
Ahhhh, General Hypertech you are a bold one
That is a tall order. You could go with Ironfactory's stuff. They are all legends scale.
@@PerspectiveEnd the Iron Factory Warpath looks awesome, and I'm sure it's good overall. But I live in Indonesia, a third world country with bumpy and narrow suburban roads. How am I gonna receive this thing? Send it to my dad's office?
i agree with you on wanting to know who the characters are right away, and if i could go back in time i would totally do that, but at this point reusing names for unrelated guys is such a normal thing at this point
I mean it is normal, but I really wish it would end.
@@PerspectiveEnd yeah i agree
My fanfic is that he was a miner on Cybertron, which explains the altmode, drill, and hollow roof. It also explains his role as Autobot demolitions expert.
I feel like that's a pretty reasonable assumption for Brawl.
@@PerspectiveEnd Brawn
@@TEENFORMER roofus
@@nathanmacrae9199 You're supposed to say, "roofus ya doofus"
You can find Blaster and Slammer on the big bad toy store. That’s where I got mine and they are still there so I would go check them out
Blaster is still on preorder, and I know people who've had that on Preorder for months at this point.
Can’t wait to get this guy.
It's on Amazon right now.
I was kinda hoping hasbro would be back to a good stride in distribution again. Brawn idk what is it about his design but I love the small beef boy he is but kingdom arcee and tigatron. Wheeljack also looks interesting and his vehicle mode looks good they yet again missed out on space van
Yeah, I don't know if they are ever going to fix distribution at this point.
Love how his altmode looks like the doomslayer lol
It kind of looks like his helmet yeah.
Good morning Mr.Perspective
Good evening.
Fantastic video mate :) I love this little guy and the transformation is odd and fun. More intuitive than the Ratchet. Didnt think construction vehicle I was thinking high speed messenger, but that doesnt work for Brawn. Construction vehicle works best for him so I am going with your idea on it. Fits my head cannon better :)
Have you gotten a Black Zarek yet? For some reason they are 160 on Amazon at the moment. I think this is the cheapist we will see it. If you do get it, let me know if my video series on Black Zarek was any help to you.
btw 195 subs! Gettting closer to my goal of 250.
Nice! Congrats. You a doing a solid job growing there.
And thank you. And yeah this is a lot less confusing that Ratchets.
I wasn't planning on getting Black Zarak. You know me. Not a fan of the Japanese stuff.
@@PerspectiveEnd Thanks mate :) Just made 200! Well if your into the collecting for the value over time thing, then Black Zarek has a high chance of increasing in value steadily over the next few years. Just wanted to let you know if you were into buying a couple investment transformers to keep in a closet for a rainy day fund down the road. :)
This was actually my most anticipated figure I’m this line. I really want to pick this one up. 3p would be great too
It's not bad at all. Just odd.
Hasbro really abused their licensing on marvel with brawn's head
Indeed they did.
Remember?
Nails checking all the way
Of course. And I do like that one.
2:16 Not even Prowl, the commander Fox (the one even his own clone brethren hates) of the autobots in G1 doesn’t even look like his G1 counterpart. (Now I wonder what smokescreen and blue streak would look like in animated)
Yeah he's like the most different.
Brawn-weep-grawn-ah-weep ni ni Brawng.
Roof-Weep-Roofnah-Roof-Nini-Roof.
His face from afar looks like the Bay Knight Optimus Prime , with his faceplate, in Juggernaut's helmet. And you can't say anything to change my mind.
This figure is really good. This is a great example of why I don't mind smaller figures. It's plus articulation, looks and transformation, minus size. Idk about y'all, but that's a fair trade for me. Although I hope we don't get much smaller than this. Anything smaller than this or WFC Cliffjumper will be a bit too small.
Great vid as always. A good way to finish a week, into the weekend.
Narceawrist is a really good name I wish I could have come up with that pun
Yeah I liked that one too when I heard it.
My Brawn actually had a few problems. The way the legs plug into the front wheels caused stress marks, and the gun hole was too large for its port on the back. The design is neat, but not enough to look past those problems. The best movie Brawn is still the SUV from Revenge of the Fallen.
Sorry to hear about your's QC. That is the biggest frustraition about being a Toy Reviewer. If you buy a video game everyone gets the same game. If you buy a toy, some just come worse than others.
@@PerspectiveEnd that's a good point. Aside from differences in tolerances, you never know when you'll get a paint error, especially with the current factories.
Cool my "Narci-wrist" suggestion made the top 3 (gimme credit tho lol)
Brawn looks like he's wearing a hoodie
He does look like he's wearing a Hoodie, and I take it I know what your vote is for.
Brawn is
Nothing(Roofus).
Roofus is everything.
The Juggernaut helmet. This is exactly why this figure can be the start of a new Marvel Crossovers line with this (or an upsize to Voyager and the appropriate added engineering) repainted as ol' Jugglenuts, I mean Juggernaut. (That daaamn Juggernaut Headcrush from X-Men vs. Street Fighter...and it's even worse on consoles: the Saturn lets you pick two of the same character, so imagine a team super of TWO Juggernaut Headcrush at the same time. And the PSone version adding in Hyper Cancels from Street Fighter EX plus Alpha means start with a single Headcrush and go into a double Headcrush for maximum nut juggling pain. Only thing worse is Gambit's Royal Flush...) From there, they could probably reuse the Bumblebee Ironhide mold as Cyclops, maybe use Bumblebee Arcee as Storm, etc.
But yeah, this is a pretty neat take on Brawn.
Honestly. That would actually be KIND of fun. Like don't make them the Hero's who transform, do like an Amalgam thing.
The hunchback part kind of reminds me off Jorge’s torso armour from halo reach
Then there’s his X-men 3 juggernaut face lol
You know people kept bringing Halo up, and I didn't get it till you mentioned Jorge.
1:49 I can’t tell if that makes him look better or worse
The face is definitely horrible either way.
Id say the bumblebee designs are reimagining the g1 designs as live action designs and those hands should be called the fruity wrist flick
I don't think so. Nothing about them is the same. If all the shapes are different and how they transform are different, and all they do is Evoke the original's then they are new designs.
You should call them Narcissiwrists.
I loved that one when I heard it.
I actually saw a leaked listing for an 86 rufus
I'm really a fan of this figure, he's got some issues but they aren't a dealbreaker to me. Honestly, my only two issues are his overly-detailed face, and the lack of any sort of cover for his hole in vehicle mode. This is definitely one of the situations where weapon storage isn't just a feature, it's essentially mandatory because at least SOMETHING is blocking the view of his head. Even then, I'm not too rough on it given that the Cybertron-only Bumblebee characters had absolutely no alt modes designed for them, there's only so much that can be expected when you force toy designers to take those designs and make _something_ out of them, and he still fares a ton better than characters like Shockwave or Soundwave.
I like this a lot my self, but I'm ok with the head hole.
It may not be the best out of the bunch, but I find it the most enjoyable to play with
It is an enjoyable little spud.
I think the legs fit better if you push the head in last, sure it's more visible, but you don't see the face so it doesn't bother me much. Also the emptiness of the back kinda works if you think of it as a small mining vehicle with open storage, that's how I justify it at least.
I just stick a Headmaster in that hole.
i've been roofed now i have to do it to some body else
Yes! Share the Roofing!
I found Legacy at my target and after a day the only one left was the Arcee. I dont blame the scalper
Man I would love to find a LEGAcee. I need them to review.
the new ercee
This is my second favorite design from that Cybertron scene in Bumblbee ( the first one is Soundwave ) when i first saw this designe in cinema the first time it just POPED it was so unique so fresh so dumpy i just liked it and it was very cool animated , when he fall i understood how he has fallen in the dark light of that scene .
I want this guy so bad .
Sorry if i said something wrong english is my second language .
Your English was fine. No need to apologize. And for me Arcee was my favorite, just because she had such human looking face, and it was proof that the Cybertronians didn't need monster faces to look real.
If I ever get this guy I am going to color him like a space marine.
Sass hands! SASS HANDS!
Good few people like Sass Hands alot.
The only designs that didn't work in the Bumblebee movie were the seekers.
Yeah the seekers are kind of the weakest in general. I think Shockwave had some really bad features. Like the MASSSSSSSSSSIVE gun arm that ended in a tiny gun, but over all the were the worst.
@@PerspectiveEnd Yeah. I mean why design the seekers without the Null Rays on the shoulders. Plus the head in the figure isn't good.
ThIs Is JuSt ThE gEeWuN dEsIgN!!!!!!!!!!!1!!!!!1111!!!
How dare!
I like his toilet mode
Man I didn't even notice that till you guys pointed it out.
The toes on this figure look the same as bumblebee’s
They do look like they belong to Bumblebee. Because they probably do. Probably a reused part between the movie models.
@@PerspectiveEnd yeah doesn’t look bad or anything but I just noticed it
Brawn is the figure of these BBM designs made to have Cybertronian alt modes that is RIGHT over the line between good Cybertronian alt mode, and randomly folded up robot. You can see some kind of vehicle in there, but it's also being drowned out by the giant obvious robot legs and the giant hole in it. Granted it still looks slightly better than what I expected all the figures to look like in vehicle mode when rumours first dropped.
Brawn certainly looks the least like a 1:1 G1 import, but the design is still problematic. Where Ratchet and Wheeljack at least had something that could be lined up into a vehicle, Brawn has nothing. Hell for a design in a movie where most of the designs had random circles of untellable function splattered on them randomly, he doesn't even have any of those which one might be able to smudge into a wheel. Which is why they made the thighs in accurate and slapped the wheel on there.
Ultimately this is kinda just another boring design. He feels the most like generic robot, but with some styling to make it look kind of like the Juggernaut. And it REALLY doesn't help that this thing is fucking ER Cliffjumper sized.
His design was very clean but I think they made it work.
And I think he looks plenty interesting.
Unrelated note I’ve seen legacy blue streak in stores
Blue Streak? What is Legacy Bluestreak?
@@PerspectiveEnd the blue version of blue streak
I'm not the biggest fan of brawn, I actually like X-brawn more than him, but this figure looks really good and maybe I'll get him, toaster approved video. Hope you're doing alright perspective
They are not the same character. Not even a little. And I'm doing good thank you. How bout you?
0:23 fine, if we can't name it after Animated Lockdown, I choose Generations Drift
The wrist action is called Generations Drift?
@@PerspectiveEnd for some reason, I heard "Drift" in that sentence since that Generations Drift has ball jointed wrists and the socket cut lets them bend inward, otherwise, not personally vibin' with any of the names listed, narcissiwrists rolls off with Thewmatic energy, but I don't get the connection
Sass hands just sass hands
People like Sass Hands.
Sass hands, also I do think Brawn would be good as a trench digger for the autobots, also also, legacy is out on Amazon for some figures.
Yeah I picked up what Amazon had of Legacy tooday.
2:50 Which is actually part of his character.
Indeed it is so it's acceptable.
Might grab this, it kinda fits with iron factory. Don’t care about scale because honestly the “minibots” seem like they should be big characters(except for bumblebee and beachcomber)like for example I use generations warpath with my iron factory autobots.
Well I mean the whole joke of his character is that he's tiny but the strongest.
He's the Dutch Boy Toph of Transformers.
I think sass hands is the way to go.
People are liking that one.
if you leave the bubble just slightly untabbed he gets an abcrunch
Like a backwards one? Cause that does not work going forwards on mine.
@@PerspectiveEnd you have to play with the positioning a little bit and it's not a huge one. there's more play backwards than forwards so some of it slightly cheating with the hips
1:13 I just thought it looked like something from He-man (never mention revelations)
Revelations had potential. Too bad the decided to make the MC such a self righteous bitch, who felt entitled to everyone's loyalty over all others.
"HOW DARE YOU NOT TELL ME ADAMS SECRET HE TOLD YOU NOT TO TELL ME, DONT YOU KNOW BEING LOYAL TO ME IS MORE IMPORTANT!!!"
I am so glad this thing is good. I was afraid of the clear plastic and I’m so glad they did it right
Yeah the Clear Plastic is not a problem this time.
As my first Rufus figure, I like it a lot! I think this may be one of my favorite SS figures I have. Also, Hasbro also makes Marvel Legends, so maybe they're allowed to make the toys similar, Idk.
Yes, but Hasbro doesn't own the movie rights at all.

I mean we both do. You can pick all these up on Amazon.
I mistook bumblebee movie brawn as juggernaut
Understandable.
Sasshands, definitely Sasshands.
What's making Sasshands popular, and Nail Checking Wrists get like no votes?
@@PerspectiveEnd For me? The notion of Cybertronians with fingernails. It just feels very Bay and nowhere else. Like Cybertronian hair, I guess.
Not to mention Sasshands is easier to get out or inject conversationally.
