I told my family about your first "toiletry tools" and they giggled!!! But when I showed them your results, they were just as stunned as I was!!!!! So now, every time they go shopping, they bring me "tools" of all shapes, sizes and texture making abilities. When I use them and show them what can be done with them, they are simply floored!!! Thank you Jackie for helping me to further explain my style of painting and mixed media art!!! YOU ARE AWESOME!!! Have a great week!!!
At times it is so hard to explain what I do and when or where I place things in my art. Hubby and daughter sway more toward realism, where I am deeply in love with abstract and mixed media. We don't talk about it much, so when we do, we keep it light and easy. One day they will either understand it or just let me keep my wings and let me fly!
so gorgeous! My fav has to be the crappy dollar store shelf liners. They make the best grid patterns, and they pull through paint well and leave great smudgy streaks.
Yup, this one is pretty darn cool! I love the separate paintings, each had a lot of potential. Weird tools...After watching the first video of this, I went into my bathroom, which the shower is being re-tiled. The spacers between the tiles had a cool pattern, so I asked for one, and am using it to stamp cool designs onto a mostly completed painting that was missing something. It is fun to go into a thrift store, yard sale or hardware store to see what other uses something has for art! Thank you so much for really opening my eyes to this. ♥
I LOVE this crazy, experimental side of Jackie!! And of course the pieces turned out great as they are (admittedly from only my perspective, because you're the only one who says when they're finished!) other than the last one which could use some Jackie-finesse!!! I'll also say that watching you apply white with the paper towel roll completely freaks me out - LOL! ❤❤❤
Hahaha! Freaking you out wasn’t my intention, but it does entertain me that it got your attention and (I assume) had you in the edge of your seat! 😂😂😂❤️
A fabulous experiment & just goes to show that beautiful paintings can be made without $$$$$ brushes. Love the colors - that red is on my "next purchase" list.
they say repetition is the mother of skill... so if ii've said this before, ii'm getting better at it...: ii love every unfolding inch, scohsh, squidge & 🤤 moment ii see, do & have in yr tutes!!!
Love it! I learned a lot! Thx for sharing Jackie!
So glad you enjoyed it, Judy! Thanks for the love! 🌟

@@jackieschomburgart Definitely attention grabbing - as in I would have white paint everywhere, there'd be nothing left! I kinda cringed. LOL
@PaulWalesArt Oh yes, that is always the risk 😅
I always look forward to your videos!
❤️❤️❤️
10 thumbs up! Totally love your experiment and the results!!
Yay!!! Thanks so much, Ellen! ❤️❤️❤️
Hey Jackie Happy Sunday. I like the piece before the cut and after. They look super nice as is in my humble opinion ❤
Thanks Elle! ❤️❤️❤️
Love the colors 😊
Thank you! The cream and greens helped turn down the fire from the red 🤗
my fave tool is a gift card. it's so satisfying to scrape the paint. today i bought a plg of bobby pins. can't wait to try them.
It really IS satisfying to feel and hear that scraping sound, isn’t it??

Merci!! L'alcool fonctionne bien sur la peinture très humide. 👍
Thanks! Gonna try that next time! 🎨✨
