I think mainly because she was throwing her Tsundere character and being more herself, but the point is that she started to make crazy (and amazing) content, so a meme started. A meme that Australia was changing her, that some people wanted the old idol-like Haato back, etc What did Haato/Haachama with this? She embraced the meme and went along, making that Haato and Haachama were different personalities, then the revelation that they were twins, etc. And then she basically made an entire horror story arc that, and I'm not memeing, not joking here, it could be a very good anime or manga. Keep in mind this is a fast summary of a person that is really bad with words and keeping the train of though.
All jokes aside here, Aqua’s monologue really was something. She was one of the people who carried Hololive here to where it is today, bringing tons of new fans when Hololive had a smaller fanbase. It really gave me a different view on what an idol is, and honestly completely changed my entire viewpoint. Can’t wait until Bloom! On a side note, big thanks to the staff for giving us such a high quality hologra that’s 6 mins long. Still waiting on that movie though

is it just me or did we go from weekly shitpost to genuine show? the episode was longer, the animation quality was better, the voice acting was great as well, and the plot made sense and was somewhat gripping. Congrats on this episode guys! Can't wait to see what you have in store for us.
I like how they took a completely different approach to the animation for this episode! The animation is rendered lower than the usual 30 FPS, and instead they rely on more down-to-earth, thought-out motion and the utilization of smears for faster actions. The storyboard is also easier to follow, and the usual frantic shots and fast cuts are nowhere to be seen.
It felt like they were addressing that notion. There are reasons they should and shouldn’t be idols so it’s good they’re letting them go an in between route where they just call them idols but let them do whatever they want because they know it’ll be good and profitable and within their company morals

This went from poking fun on the idea of Hololive as an idol agency and ended up being a social commentary on what it means to be an idol. This plot progression happened in 3 minutes.

I was wondering about that I see Haachama is doing teh whole split personality thing, but what's the backstory to this? Why did this happen all of a sudden? Did management get mad at her for branching off from being HaatoAkai to Haachama? Because I see her channel name switched back to HaatoAkai.
this was actually a clever and wholesome way of tying in the current reputation of hololive with the future idol-esque plans, emotional in a way because we've seen how hard they work. well done!
Plus the fact who their un-idolesque things is what attracted all of us in 1st place. From the Bakaqua moments to the Suicopath, from the shitposts to Marine lewd shenanigans. From a dog playing Doom and Banjo Kazoie to a crazy memeastic Rabbit. As Amelia said on her 1M stream and her playing the fan game: "don't stop doing what you love, if its fan ants , music, fangames , etc."
I think this was a great and fun way for the company to basically come out and reiterate that they accept their talents for who they are, be it silly, crazy, horny or all of the above. Uniqueness will always stand out above conforming to what is considered the norm, and that level of humanity and personalization sells hard. These girls all work to show the world who they are and while they may sometimes wish they could fit the standard mold of an idol a bit more, they are happy to be who they are and that everyone enjoys that. Sasuga Hololive, you truly do continue to make me smile, and I look happily toward the future with you.
I wonder is this is all according to plan? If they pull off Bloom as a respectable mainstream music concert, they will have proved that their talents can be whatever they want to be, as good as traditional idols. On the other hand, Bloom could go the other way and completely break the mold of a traditional concert and do something new that only virtual performers could do. Can't wait to see how it turns out!

Exactly, there redefining the entire concept of what an idol is for the better by moving it away from the whole pretending to be seiso angelic beings 24/7 (which I find rather creepy) and instead allow them to pretty much be themselves.
I never really got the idea behind an idol, my definition is someone you can look to be like in the future. Being perfect is both impossible and also impossibly hard to keep up, I don’t want to strive for that. Hololive already fit my idea really well, but while being closer to comedians than being absolutely perfect.

this was actually a clever and wholesome way of tying in the current reputation of hololive with the future idol-esque plans, emotional in a way because we've seen how hard they work. well done!
Plus the fact who their un-idolesque things is what attracted all of us in 1st place. From the Bakaqua moments to the Suicopath, from the shitposts to Marine lewd shenanigans. From a dog playing Doom and Banjo Kazoie to a crazy memeastic Rabbit.
As Amelia said on her 1M stream and her playing the fan game: "don't stop doing what you love, if its fan ants , music, fangames , etc."
I think this was a great and fun way for the company to basically come out and reiterate that they accept their talents for who they are, be it silly, crazy, horny or all of the above. Uniqueness will always stand out above conforming to what is considered the norm, and that level of humanity and personalization sells hard. These girls all work to show the world who they are and while they may sometimes wish they could fit the standard mold of an idol a bit more, they are happy to be who they are and that everyone enjoys that.
Sasuga Hololive, you truly do continue to make me smile, and I look happily toward the future with you.
I wonder is this is all according to plan? If they pull off Bloom as a respectable mainstream music concert, they will have proved that their talents can be whatever they want to be, as good as traditional idols. On the other hand, Bloom could go the other way and completely break the mold of a traditional concert and do something new that only virtual performers could do. Can't wait to see how it turns out!

@@leandrogoslean889 it's not dropped frames, it's that it's animated at 12 fps, which is standard for 2d anime but looks choppy with 3d.

You know, even though they're playing characters, this was still quite nice to see and I'm glad they addressed the whole idol thing and gave it new meaning.
Exactly, there redefining the entire concept of what an idol is for the better by moving it away from the whole pretending to be seiso angelic beings 24/7 (which I find rather creepy) and instead allow them to pretty much be themselves.
I never really got the idea behind an idol, my definition is someone you can look to be like in the future. Being perfect is both impossible and also impossibly hard to keep up, I don’t want to strive for that. Hololive already fit my idea really well, but while being closer to comedians than being absolutely perfect.
