The Parliament Class - one of the most gorgoeus ships I have seen come from Lower Decks alongside the Titan.
I have not watched a single episode of this show not have any plans on doing so just yet, what I have seen is from Twitter and as soon as I saw the Parliament class I thought yes, thats a ship I like.
I think what I like about the look is the ship design seems to be a combination of several starships in all, some parts steamrunner, some parts sovereign, a little bit of nebula and akira.
Though me being me I would wounder what the registry of the first of the class is.
Starfleet will always be ill-prepared for whatever is out there, there will always be some species more powerful out there they have yet to encounter, and their approach of "Starfleet doesn't fire first" and waiting for shields to be almost collapsed before firing back on their attackers needs to be evaluated for the safety of crews especially in deep space, if an enemy fires at least once on your ship after you have tried all hailing frequencies and sucn ahd got no response, they fire, do not wait for shields to be down to 50% before returning fire, my goodness, who comes up with these tactics?
    Rant over with, ha ha
What I have enjoyed having a laugh at and I mean no disrespect to anyoje but alot of people complaining about this ship in STO not being good for tactical though the ship is a cruiser survey ship, the name gives it away, it is focused more on engineering and science than tactical, no problem for me I love science engineering builds more in favour rather than DPS gone mad, you need people to keep those firing off dps in the fight afterall.
Another slight rant over, but I doubt I will get this ship in game unless one crops up on the game exchange, but the game has done a great job in its visuals thats for sure and I do not often speak positively on that particular game, especially this last year and a bit.
Thanks for the video good sir, i really enjoyed it, and who knows perhaps we will learn more about the class as Lower decks continues.

5:55 as soon as this shot came up, and the size thing came into play…it clicked
This is just the sovereign eras version of a Miranda configuration…
The comment about “fitting with the design aesthetic” is where that clicked
Look at each notable design era (well most as I’m not fully versed in the newer series yet)
With (to my knowledge) the exception of the “original series” era designs, all others have a class of starship that takes the traditional constitution class configuration, and rearranges into a somewhat more compact and easier to construct ship
Constitution refit/ movie era had the Miranda
    Excelsior era had the centaur
    Galaxy era had the nebula
And now the sovereign era has the parliament
And the sovereign era had a much wider array of ships that we get to see (on screen) compared to other eras

On a ship full of engineers that doesn’t say much…I mean, when you look at how the chief engineer sets up their ship/facilities tech (Scotty, geordie, miles)…
…with a ship full of engineers on this thing, one could EASILY imagine that within 6 months, simply transferring from one ship to another would “feel” like an entirely different class of ship due to individual and unique ways of addressing things :)

So my complaint is this: why don't they have a ship/starbase named after him? Or, after Jimmy Doohan, the actor that played him?

I like the video, well done. However I have a few issues with the design. I agree with the statements below about the windows in the pylons. That would seem too take away from the structural integrity of the ship and would hamper power transfers. I also see no point in having 6 torpedo launchers. Considering how much space those would require; it seems to me that would space would be taken from workspaces. Does this ship have 6x the number of torpedo's of a normal ship of its size? If not that is a lot of wasted space that would be better suited to engineering duties. I do like the design however.

    • @TriAngulumAudioStudios
      @TriAngulumAudioStudios  11 месяцев назад +1

One of the biggest hurdles that some fans have, is their inability to look at something from a future perspective. In this case for example, you look at windows and think of it subconsciously like glass. But it isn't, the material it is made of is just as strong as the hull plating, merely transparent, which means NO structural impact at all...
Also, Im not sure how windows affect power transfers, that simply makes no sense what so ever!
Lastly, there is enough space aboard to make your last issue completely moot!

    • @michael-oj4lk

So judging by your comments here and your replies to others...we are all wrong and you are right. We know nothing and you know everything. Everyone dreams of being a Top Gun pilot but no one dreams of flying the transport plane. You've decided that a support/auxiliary ship designed to build and fix things should also have more weapons then a larger, front line ship. Good job. How about we call and is if a Parliament class is in the sector? Maybe those engineers can fix your bad ideas.

And BTW, I only tell those that are wrong that they are incorrect, which is less than 1% of the Channels entire comments, so stop acting like a child or a victim, it's very unbecoming! You chose to make a comment here that was wrong, and I simply corrected your misconception! Also, I didnt design the ship OR it's specs, Star Trek did, so go cry to them! ;) Cya!

No... Background music will continue as this is just a "you" problem, rather than a general audience problem! Take care

Just don’t like the class name
I like it’s a ship designed for engineering duties and still defend itself

so, you created truth or myth to dispel the myth surrounding alpha cannon but it seems like your doing more beta cannon episodes then alpha cannon, and i dont mind betas awesome, just seems like the episode naming needs a update, of course everything in this post should be taken with a boulder sized grain of stardust ;)
