I love the cutting garden recommendations. I gave it a try and most of my cuttings are doing very well using that method. :)

it is remarkable how resilient these figs are..it's funny i put a RDB in ground about a month ago..blazing hot, but it was evening and cool..since then, it's grown 5"-6"..popped figlets all over..i believe it felt relieved to get out of the pot and into the earth!

    Hello Lou
Some new varieties out there, have no glue how good they are and people willing to pay very high price for them. Example the new one name Anglelito cost ton of money but it splits badly 😂

Hi Lou! Thanks for your pruning tips...they make much more sense than others! One day when I'm able to have more gardening room, I plan to get a Celeste and Peter's Honey!! Thanks for sharing...loved the humming birds!! Take care!

Baby Cardinals kept pecking my tiny unripe figs so I covered my trees in mosquito nets.

Hi Lou, I was wondering how old you are. I'm 76 and in good health. I sometimes wonder if I have time left to do things like propagation with cuttings or just buy the plant.

Is it safe to put a 8-12” starter fig in the ground now? Just got them and I transplanted them into 4” terra cotta pots. (Violette de Bordeaux and Lattarula-Italian Honey fig). North Carolina Piedmont zone 8a.

@debbies2966 Hi Debbie! That one is a flip of a coin. Lol! Well, in your zone, I think that it can work for you, but if it's not at all inconvenient to overwinter your tree I'd probably wait until it's a little more established and plant it in the ground next spring. Good luck! Lou Monti

Hi Lou , wondering if you ever used sulfur spray for Fig mites and Mosaic and if so did it work? Thank you
