Just today I failed my G test, because on the 404 north I wasnt at 110 km/h before merging.
So make sure you arrive at 110 km/h in the acceleration lane and then merge.

Here’s my route for reference - good luck everyone!!!
ROUTE 1
• exit testing centre, turn left at stop sign.
• left at Gorham
• right onto Leslie
• right onto Davis
• take on ramp for 404 North
• Change lane left then right
• take exit to Greenlane (middle lane at lights)
• take ramp to 404 South
• merge again left line then back to right
• take Davis exit and use the right lane
• left turn at Harry Walker
• right turn into drive test centre
• forward park
Here’s another two routes that I have added to my notes:
ROUTE 2
• exit testing centre, turn left at stop sign.
• Right onto Davis (80km.h)
• Take on ramp for 404 North
• Change lane to left then right
• Take exit to Greenlane (middle lane at lights)
• Turn left
• Take ramp to 404 South
• Change lane to left then right
• Take David exit and use the right lane (60km/h)
• After crossing Harry Walker, merge to left lane
• Left turn on Leslie
• Left turn on Gorham Street (50km/h)
• Right turn into Harry Walker
• Right turn into drive test center
• Forward park
ROUTE 3
• exit testing centre, turn left at stop sign.
• Turn at Gorham
• Merge to left lane and turn left on Leslie
• Left on Mulock Drive (60km/h)
• Take ramp to 404 South (110 to 100)
• Take exit at Aurora Rd. Wellington
• Turn left (middle lane) on Wellington Street East
• Take ramp to 404 North (100 to 110)
• Take Exit at Mulock Drive and turn left
• Right on Leslie
• Right on Stackhouse Road
• Right turn into Harry Walker
• Right turn into drive test center
Forward Park

Hello, master, soon for G test. May I ask how many times blind spot check while emerging Hwy ? I was told :signal- shoulder check - mirrors check and should check again , if safe, then Emerging. Thanks . But I like your way , only one time blind check .

This was really helpful, I was a bit nervous until watching this over a few times and I became a lot more confident, I went for my G test and unfortunately I failed
The part that made it worse was the examiner commented that I was doing very good in every area , however on the way back to the drivetest centre, when entering the left lane to turn left at leslie/davis, I did not slow down enough while attempting to switch the lane which made the examiner scared and he jammed on the break(was using an instructor's car), my test was over there however the points were quite good everywhere else, really sucks to have your effort ruined like that but its a reminder that any little thing can mess you up, will be retaking it in a few weeks and after having done the test with an instructor there I am very confident, these videos are great

though when you enter the highway again, please note that it just becomes a 3rd highway lane, it's not an acceleration lane

The yellow 30 km/h limit is only a recommended speed, the white signs indicate a hard speed limit.

I just failed my exam today, I was preparing for all 3 roads available on RUclips and he took me to a complete different road, and asked me to change the lane when it was super busy on the highway, and expect me to speed up more than 110 and do that instead of waiting for cars to pass me on the left when it is safe to do so like I did.
The examiner was irritated and nervous, I didn’t felt comfortable, he was wearing mask.
So be ready for all that guys:)
When going south on 404 from green lane, why do you have to merge into the left lane? Can you not just stay in the right lane since it extends all the way to davis drive where you will be exiting?

If the light is yellow but oncoming traffic is still coming and it turns red before you can make the turn do you still proceed or are you just out if luck failed?
Does anyone know how to merge the hwy when ramp is full of traffic, oncoming traffic is slow (40 km/h let say)?
Last time I failed it for this, I matched the oncoming traffic speed like 40, then I merged when it was safe to do so,not reaching 110 km/h. So, is there any other way to do it better ?

@@undercoveroxta993 it’s exactly first route shown in this video thts the easiest it actually depends on examiner good luck just make sure you hit 110 km on highway and you are okay
This is a very strict test drive center. My friend took 8 times to pass G here and another friend 5 times. I am lucky just 4 times... If you are confident, you can come to New market test center to try your luck. good luck!

Why is the left lane on a Main Street like Leslie considered a “passing lane”? I thought that’s only the case on a highway. Please clarify.
Where ever you have two lanes or more, consider left most lane as the passing lane and always avoid driving in that lane until explicitly asked by the examiner. Check the third section - Keep Right. www.ontario.ca/document/official-mto-drivers-handbook/driving-along

Yes, I have followed atleast three cars giving G road test, all did the same thing, and eventually they all passed.

Is the G test also modified for foreign drivers who are claiming 2+yrs of driving experience and thus going straight to the G test?
yes
does the examiner always ask to move out of the passing lane and onto the right lane?
You have to do it by yourself. Never drive in the passing lane unless explicitly asked by the examiner.
Hello! On the last route when returning on the highway you mention that the speed is 100 km/h. How do we know that it is not 110 km/h? I am a bit confused!
Becuase while coming to highway the speed limit changed from 110kmph to 100kmph. Check time 25:25 & 28:14 - where the speed limit changes.

@@sonial9182 When you get on the ramp, the examiner will notify you of the speed limit and then repeat it again to make sure you heard it. Make sure you don't merge until your speed is at least 95 km/h.
Davis's drive speed limit is 80 km/h or 60 km/h
Check the video at 3:34, by the time you will accelerate, the speed limit will be 80km/h.

Today I went to new market drive test and the lady who booked the test told me that modified G lisence test is no more now . Is this true ??

Highway 404 has a speed limit of 110km/h
Do they still test parkings ??
They will ask you do a front parking at the end, no reverse or parallel parking.
