I knew Rayman remembered the Rabbids, Judging from both his reaction and experience with them. This is the same Rayman from the Raving Rabbids Game. But unfortunately for Rayman though, the Rabbids (Except for the Phantom…) don’t seem to remember him since the last time they’ve crossed paths. Rayman was surprised by the Rabbids ability to speak and change. At the end, Rayman was both surprised and proud of how much the Rabbids (Rabbid Peach & Mario) have grown and changed since the last time they’ve met, thinking maybe the Rabbids as a whole are capable of Change.
It was all thanks to Mario and co
It weird. That the rabbids not even have a momories of Rayman and plus with out our boy Rayman they never exist in the first please and they are mine second of the most hatefull fictionale characters of my live but the Mario+Rabbids are not the same.
And this is yet a again a new beginng for Rayman i hope that hè will get a new game for this own again some day of years.

I think R. Mario and R. Peach were new characters. They never met him before.
I'd like to think some rabbids in the background could have been rabbids of past games so they knew him but just never had the chance to speak to him.
I do like how R. Mario and R. Peach changed his preception of rabbids. That was some nice character development there.
As someone new to these Rabbid games, why does Rayman hate Rabbids?
The fact that Rayman is now a dlc in a Rabbids game...

Look, even if Rayman is stuck as a DLC goat for years to come, the fact that they slipped in plenty of references to Rayman's past, all the way to Mr. Dark and not just falling back on Origins and Legends stuff gives me hope that Rayman will be treated with just a bit more respect

God the music they used in his intro is unbelievably perfect. The land of the livid dead theme symbolizing that yes, Rayman has been dead for years. But then the main theme of Rayman legends appears, symbolizing that his legends are far from over and that this new adventure is just the beginning. Simply amazing.

So at the end of the day, Rayman realizes that not ALL Rabbids are bad! And that's a good implementation from the DLC now! He understands that they are capable of change!
Mario and Rayman seem to acknowledge each other's existence with merch of their own!
It's a solid ending for Rayman! (Or a New Beginning? 👀)
It's not much, but it is something for those two characters! Hopefully one day they'll properly meet in another game! 😊

At this point, I wouldn't assume that a given rabbid can change that drastically. The rabbids Rayman faught may good and well be years gone if aging is a thing, and these rabbids may be at least several generations advanced from those we'd first seen in the original Raving Rabbids game

We can see this when he backs up after going through the door when seeing Rabbid Mario, Peach, and B.E.E.P.O, as well as when he first interacts with Rabbid Peach, where he’s ready to fight

This DLC feels less like a Mario DLC & feels more like a full on Rayman Mini-Game. I'm a little bummed out that Rayman wasn't playable outside of the DLC & I wish that Rayman could've met Mario face to face. But aside from that, this DLC TRULY felt like a love letter to both Rayman and Rabbids, but mostly Rayman!
Definitely Rayman deserves it more.

I thought for the dlc, rayman was gonna meet mario and friends, but sadly, that didn't happen but the dlc is surprisingly great, I have this one headcanon that mario and rayman are probably aware of each other's existence. (Be great for them to meet and become great friends.)
i love this dlc. apart from rayman, it has a epic mickey + luigi’s mansion + rayman vibe.
Seeing Rayman, and seeing him animated that well, was such a welcome surprise! Hope we get more!

I like how Rayman is randomly here; even though the Time Washing Machine didn’t reference him once, nor did he appear in Kingdom Battle’s opening cutscene.
Also, I love how he doesn’t question the coins, Goombas, and both Rabbid Peach and Mario.
I think is because Rabbids were always this random.

I mean be did talk in Rayman 2 and 3
Rayman speaked since Rayman 1, but small sentences. In Rayman 2 starts saying things, but in the Nintendo and Dreamcast versions talks in gibberish, and in the PlayStation versions says full sentences. In all versions of Rayman 3 speaks, but since Raving Rabbids and the 2D Raymans, he stopped speaking. The ones that started speaking in this game are the Rabbids, at least the importants or intelligents.

While I’ve never played a Rayman game or the Mario and Rabbids games? I know who the characters are.
I love seeing Rayman slowly begin to realize as their adventure goes on that the rabbids have clearly evolved? changed? from outright annoying dumb-brained pests who took away his fame…
To beings who can speak, talk and maybe Rayman told the rabbids between scenes what happened.
So the gift is just a big, long-needed apology which he happily accepted!
I love this kind of character development.
This was definetly a great DLC. Almlst feels like they shouldve dropped the mario characters and just went with Rayman + Rabbids. He had so much more dialogue and interaction in the story than any of the mario characters.
Now we are waiting for his full return of Rayman in his full-fledged game, if there is one

I like how its cute that Rayman gifted the others with a copy of his own clothing, but surely the others must be questioning why this stranger RM, RP and Beep-0 met yesterday basically gifted them a sack in the shape of a hoodie.

How do you mean? I thought it was an absolutely perfect evolution of the first game. More fleshed out gameplay, better story and characters, continuity and references, and really good DLC imo. I would kill for a threequel.

Awesome! This makes me want to buy Nintendo Switch and this game for Rayman's return with the Rabbids. It's also good to hear David Gasman as his voice again and also that Rayman get to know that Rabbid Mario and Rabbid Peach are not like the other rabbids like those who has annoyed and ruined him in TV Party.

So, how did Rayman arrived into the Mario universe?
Phantom mentioned something called a “Warp Portal” at the start of the game and since he’s the one who sent Rayman and the Rabbids a Golden Ticket Invite, it possible he summoned Rayman from his world.
Rayman's world is basically connected to earth according to rabbids lore, it's just that the rabbids ended up fully migrating to earth after their conflict with rayman ended.
@@joshjo9405actually the rabbids migrated to earth to conquer it but Rayman Stopped them making The rabbid army commanded by prof Barranco 3 slowly fall apart until all rabbids migrated, lose their bipolarity and slowly gain minds, specially after the rabbids perfected the cloning process so their clones wouldn’t be deform monsters. Which is kinda wholesome considering the reason the rabbids became hostile in the first place was because they were bullied by other creatures for being too weak but now strong and without enemies they just slowly went back to being wholesome rabbits (of course the brain damage they got from their bursts of anger is permanent and inherited)

Mario's world is neither Earth or Rayman's.
The rabbids migrated to the mushroom kingdom due to an accident with their time travelling washing machine, seen in the first Mario + rabbids game intro.
As for Rayman, another comment already provided a possible answer

So he got a gold ticket to the rabbids musical Charlie and the chocolate factory, but not a smash invitation..
My heart was warming at the end. I remember when I was playing rayman raving rabbids when I was little ❤
