      What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming;
      Whose broad stripes and bright stars, through the perilous fight,
      O'er the ramparts we watched were so gallantly streaming?
      And the rocket's red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
      Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there.
      Oh, say! does that star-spangled banner yet wave
      O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave.

      Yeah she might be, she was born on the US but her name is latino. However, how does that change what I explained above?
      Just because she's latina doesn't mean she can over criticize one color, and cheer another.
      The same way I've got to take blame for something my ancestors did 500 years ago (around 1490ac) she should take blame for something her ancestors did (Spanish Conquistadores). But nop, only goes one way.
      From what I've learned, Europe was partially conquered by muslims way before the "discovery time", and christians founded the Templars to expel them and "purify" Europe. Yet they left part of their culture here, and religion. Should I also blame muslims of today for what happened 1000y ago?

      Nah, it's pretty fuckin obvious what the song is about at first. First off, the title of the song is "I'm Not Racist," so it's already pretty clear what the song is going to be about. Second, the whole point behind the video is that both "sides" are too busy making assumptions about the other side that they don't ever have time to actually talk to eachother. They heard someone say something about their race and they immediately hopped on the "NO" train, fucking pathetic. They wouldn't have sat down and talked about their problems like the people in the video. If they were in the place of the people in the video, they would've got up and started defending themselves as if it was a personal attack.

      Cant really blame them. The video was poorly structured.
      The white guy just makes stereotypes and call him names, and the black guy just explains why things are the way they are and calls the white guy names too and says "i dont like you white mofos". Both are somewhat racist, but the video made it look like that the white guy was more racist. the white guy talks more directly at the individual person with stereotypes like "pull your pants up" or "stop living on food stamps". And the black guy talks more indirectly more (not always, but a lot) with government like "country run by whites" or "you gave us Donald trump for payback for obama"
      And Toward the end it seemed that the white guy was the only one changing his mind, he had that "maybe-he-has-a-point" face on. And its not the same with the black guy, he even says "you think you know everything but you don't" making look like a clap back.
      But i agree the people in the video are not getting what the video is really trying to say.

      *This is just my take on it at the time feel free to disagree*
      I agree with what your saying that did actually interest me, But i mean a counter to what your point is at the end he said i wish we can change shoes so we can understand each other more not you can understand us/me more. Also idk if there is such a "more racist i mean racist is racist at the end of the day.
      So to start racism in this case started toward black people and over the course of years because of this even when free. Alot of black people held onto the mindset "they are all like this" thats why i think the video is more focused on an answer rather than a middle ground. Its more to explain the things the reasons you might hate me and make you question ok so there is a purpose. Some of them can be excuses dont get me wrong but in others it is just what it is.

      Since this rap was written by Joyner Lucas, I feel like there were some good points the white side had that just got destroyed by the stereotypical mexicans line and the hard R being dropped. So the video was already black leaning a little. That being said, the black side makes a much more valid point but then again, the point was to slightly strawman the white man's argument. I'm asian so i technically dont have a say in any of this tho, i dont care much for race and the sooner we can all stop caring about color the better.

They cant even see the point of the song and I hate rap but this had an extremely strong message. Not even the first 10 seconds in there claiming a guys is racist just but looking at him. How judgmental and bigoted can these people be, these people were making garbage comments through out the most of the video. Its sick how they cant even see the hypocrisy of there view.

      the point in the song is that they’re both rapping from their points of view. There are pluses and minuses to each side. They’re also talking about stereotypes, most of the things said aren’t aimed at actual blacks or whites, just at their stereotypes.

      It wasn't that they were full on the side of the black guy. They were against the white person because he comes lecturing with his distorted views of events and tries to justify police brutality while stereotyping and showcasing links he sorta kinda has with black people by proxy. At that moment, that's all the video was for them. Then the black guy starts, and they get what's happening. It's no longer a full on attack, it's a video showcasing both sides that need to understand each other. It's a lot easier to be positive about it when they realized what was happening.

      Sonny B Bro she was pissing me off bro 😂and every white person who reacted to the video like "omg i cant wait for the black guy to go in" "yup yup tell em tell em" like 😑 why are you picking sides. White people picked the black guy side because they didnt wanna come out racist. You were meant to acknowledge the flaws each race has, not pick sides😤 White people are so afraid and speak so carefully infront of a black person because they think they might say the wrong thing and come out racist. So they just support they black person.

It's the same guy rapping, so if you choose a side it means you didn't get the point. It was sad to see them bash the white guy for his WEIGHT, his points, and everything he said, but when it came time for the other guys points they were cheering and praising his words!!! When in reality they were both rapping similar claims and stories at each other. Instead of listening to the words these racist people were just seeing color... this is the issue!!!

They hurt their own just because they assume people with darker skin are the only ones on welfare, they refuse to reform the justice system because they assume only majority Blacks and Hispanics end up there. As a white man in America - I will no longer support the politics of nationalism via the Republican party. I choose to stand with the black community - because they ACTUALLY believe in Civil Rights, equality, justice, and compassion.

    What kills me is how narrow minded our people are (Black People)... I mean the white guy made some valid points (he was a bit harsh in his speech) but we are in so much denial that we won’t accept being wrong if it is something about us... We try to act like professionals in our own community when in most situations we are the ones destroying it... I’m not speaking for all of us but rather for a big portion ... Respect tho✊🏽

    These people lack perception. They listened to every BLANKET statement & internalized it as if it were some kind of personal attack on themselves. You have to be quite self-centered & ignorant to think that way. The point of all these inflammatory seeming sentences is supposed to convey a message. Too bad they were to busy ignoring the social context, and spent the whole time trying to make "clever" & dry comebacks as if they were being directly spoken to. The entire message flew right over their headphones. Tsk tsk... I can't believe these people are adults.

      That was the whole point of the video though. Joyner said so himself he knew that people who never heard his music before would automatically believe the white guy in the beginning would actually be the guy rapping. They made comebacks but they admitted that the first verse made very valid points despite them not enjoying everything that was said. They agreed with a lot of the second verse as well and in the end agreed that both sides should air out their perspectives in order to make a resolution. Which is what Joyner said himself is the whole point of the video. To try and create a resolution instead of people dividing themselves even further. Ya'll just want to act so "woke" and try to call anyone you can out on missing the message when it's simple af.

      Rap doesn't have boundaries just like all other genres of music. There's party songs there's love songs there's political songs.

      Mumble rap is party music....Hip hop was originally party music made by street kids. Conscious rap came after, technically mumble rap is more hip hop than conscious.

      Sapientiae Clavis what good points did the white guy have?

    • @carter6850
      @carter6850 6 лет назад

      CalebBlackFlash maybe that you don’t claim your sons, people get kids just for welfare, stand UP on the football field, you party on the road and don’t care about your kids, etc. what points did that black man make? oh wait, he made excuses for selling drugs since if you don’t get called back for an interview it’s obviously because you don’t have an education. im fine with black people, but I hate when they are radical and are close minded and won’t listen to the other side of the story

    • @Jonathan-pi8yz
      @Jonathan-pi8yz 6 лет назад +6

      idk maybe the things he said about black men claming their sons? too many black families dont have a father figure in the house. He also said that too many black people are on welfare (which is true) and there is to much black on black crime in the usa for example with gangs. But the black perspective also had alot of valid points about white people so i adds up.

      CalebBlackFlash A decent amount of black men don’t stay to be a father, The drugged fueled bargaining with your children in the sense you’re wasting money that could help your children just for a quick high We tend to be more violent because a chunk of us are from the hood or lived there or still living there.

    • @decessit
      @decessit 6 лет назад +29

      Giving back lands back doesn't mean anything because industrialization that happened on those lands. Also displacing and moving whoever lives there now is unjustifiable. The political implications are unrealistic.

      BNH that’s true but trump just bought a bunch of native land out in Utah for like real estate which doesn’t need to be done he should just leave that land alone

      It's not about actually doing it. Nobody's expecting people to start ripping bandages off of fresh wounds out here.
      It's about airing it out, like it was said in the video. Too many white people out here proud about the wrong stuff or saying things that they think holds no weight. That shows ugly character, it's inhuman. Just because people get away w/ stuff doesn't necessarily mean they get away w/ it, they just live w/ it without tackling the problem ever.
      I'd rather be someone without it on my conscience and I'd imagine everyone else would be too, so let's start taking action against these things that hold us down socially and show we are above them so much so, that we're willing for change.
