And this shows how Saitama is a great hero, even if he's dull with stuff due to what has happened to him getting as powerful as he is. It's the fact he understands people better than his looks show and how he's got a real compassionate heart deep down. Like with Genos, even when Genos helps pay the rent, I'm sure there's more to why he took him under his wing besides that perk. ;)

Plot twist: the reason why he took Genos under his care is because he remembers something that happened in the past. After knowing Genos' backstory about his village getting destroyed by this mad cyborg, he realizes at some point he's taking a part on that event. One day, when he was training and beating monsters daily, he stumbled upon a cube and touches it
The cube is for sure not from this world and when he grabbed it, the cube sent him to back to the past, exactly 3 years from now. The cube teleported him to some village and when he arrived there, a lot of dead people lying on the ground. The houses were burned to ashes, and he can hear screaming coming from all over the place. Then he explored the environment and find this big walls circling the whole town. He thought "It's more like a giant door that keep this people safe... but from what?"
There was this giant shadow appeared from behind him and when he turned around that giant was an enormous cyborg. "So, everything was your doing, huh?" He says. Without wasting any time, he jumped straight at that cyborg. The cyborg opened its mouth and trapped him inside. Saitama swinging his fist to the air and destroying the cyborg's head in an instant. He fell apart to the ground. He's coming out from the cyborg's remaining and because its size was so big, he climbed the cyborg and standing up in its neck. Turns out, he can see more view of the village from above. The only thing that he saw from above was a bunch of cyborg going on a rampage. Their behaviour is very weird, some of them are dancing after eating people, some are laughing when it dissected people that stuck on the roof with its multipurpose hands
"I gotta put an end to this hell" he said.
Suddenly, a hateful voice coming from below and caught his attention. There was a boy and a girl looking at him from the ground. The boy and the girl have the same color hair, yellow. He assumed that he was the brother and the girl was his sister. The boy stares at him with a killing intent. "I swear!" The boy shouted. "I will kill all the cyborg... not sparing a single one of them! And you..." The boy pointing his finger to him "I will find you someday and I will kill you" he said.
"What? Why?" The only thing Saitama could say at that moment. "Every cyborg were controlled by a person on the inside and you... you just came out from the inside after you fell on my house and killing my mother!"
      "No, I'm no-"
"Shut up! Look, her dead body is over there!" The boy pointing his finger to another side. There was a woman lying there with a sharp piece of wood sticking to her belly
      "Dayum." Saitama said calmly.
Saitama looking at the boy, he remember everything about him. His face, his color hair, his expression and the look on his eyes. "If that isn't a pure hate I don't know what else. He's right, I was the one to be blamed" Saitama thought. Before he can talk anymore, his body were enveloped by a fog with a small size thunder and teleported him back to the future in the blink of an eye
"I'm back... was that a dream? No, it's real. I still got this liquid like blood on my shirt and a parts of that cyborg in my hand. It's really happening, isn't it?"
"What is this sensation inside my chest? It's really making me nervous. Of course, I've bring despair to that boy's life and I can't change it back. If I were to see him again, I'll take whatever fate has in store for me." He keeps contemplating in his mind about what just happened...
1 year and 6 months later, the voice coming from outside the door: "Sensei!"

Saitama stopping the dude while voluntarily(he could’ve gotten both) let the salmon go speaks of importance and care, hence the dude cried at the end, being motivated to live again in freedom.

He prioritises the man’s life over his salmon. Remember, saitama values his food very highly (he isn’t very wealthy, so he places great value in groceries) and for him to sacrifice it so quickly after you saw him make such an effort to catch it. A real hero will sacrifice anything for his fellow man. Even if saitama didn’t think too much of it, he saved someone’s life.
In a real world application, if we happen to see someone in need physically or spiritually, we should make an effort to put aside what we were doing in service to someone else.

Saitama has worked his way up to a point that he's too strong, yet he doesnt feel superior to anyone else, he treats everyone that deserve his respect equally. The man fell, and Saitama saves him, letting go of the salmon that he had successfully saved. People always seems to think that Saitama is the embodiment of unfair, but this shows that he is actually both embodying unfair and fair, yes his powers allow him to finish any fight with breeze, but i think it's not always unfair that he swoops in and saves anyone that's certainly going to die against a threat that they're facing, that's just what heroes are supposed to be.

one punch man is become popular not because its godly artstyle, but the parody, comedy and life lesson.

One thing that i prefer from One’s style of story is,It’s not like other anime that just too fantasy. It’s about society problem that we can relate to.
Mob100 is about mental problem in Teenage life,While OPM is about problem in society life and make fun with adult life problem. Both Manga/Anime also teach us something. Man,One is genius,Isn’t he?
