That being said, he already tried telling the truth once, and nobody believed him, or rather, they kept misunderstanding him. Just like how saitama has a curse, he looks ugly and weird to anyone who sees him, and for the first time with genus someone appreciated him after sacrificing himself for years helping others. I believe OPM is as popular as it is, because it asks a deep philosophical question, If you could sacrifice your life to help others with them never acknowledging it, praising you, or valuing what you do for them, would you still do it, and how long would you last until you stop doing it.

It WAS a gag series, you can tell from the beginning that ONE didn’t make it as seriously as Mob Psycho 100 but slowly with his hands it actually turns into a story with a good story and emotional writing

I feel like at 1:32 instead of it being explained as king writing a video game script it would be better explained as if king was talking to a group of ants that he was stopping from trying to take his food. Also when he goes up to the counter to talk to the lady he could say "there are some bugs at the tables that need exterminating" and the assassins would think he meant them
That kind of creativity in plot writing is what makes a good story, you should consider making a story, maybe in 10 years you'll be rich and famous lol
Thinking about it now, the King effect could translate to us readers/viewers. If I would be in the OPM universe and about to face King, knowing that he is actually not strong but has the luck. I think I would still be hesitant to fight him knowing I might still get wrecked by whatever means and with him still getting the credit

I haven’t read or watched any of the OPM manga or anime but I’ve watched a lot of clips through RUclips recommendations and I want to know if saitama ever gets acknowledged by everyone for his strength and gets promoted to a higher rank by the end of the series according to the webcomic ? Not really. He is promoted to A-Class. There are some heroes that realize he is strong. However, only a few (Genos, Bang, King) realize that he is the by far the strongest.
the mangas still going so maybe one day he will be. more people are realizing and he is slowly moving up. at the end of the day the title doesnt matter, the strong acknowledge the strong and know.
