- ILF Bow Basics How To Get Started
In this video I go over the basics of ILF Bows. From the different styles of ILF Bows to the multiple ways to configure your ILF Bow. I showcase two different styles of ILF bows in this video. One is the Samick Discovery and the other is the Southwest Archery Stingray.

Just getting in to ILF Bows this video Help a lot --- I would like to see a video on fully tuning -- adjusting left/right - changing bow poundage - setting tiller -
Shooting form is still looking good. Keep up the great work!
Jaime Leon de la Parra 👍🏻👊🏻
Great info there,i just got a Junxing pharos 2, amazing these ILF systems
kerry mcmanus They are fun to work with for sure.
One day they will develop and upgrade their products just like big brands like win & win, hoyt or samick, we all know china never gives up to make their products on the same level as other famous brands. So far I have three F junxing models..F155, F177 n F179..cheap and nice..
@@fahlvfaust677 Nice collection, are they recurve or reflex defllex?
@@kerrymcmanus9188 recurve models..
Great video! Thank you!
Thank you.
I never tire of archery videos, Jon! Keep 'em coming!
I briefly had a Hoyt Tiburon and enjoyed the ease of ILF but all the risers in the store from the batch they had in were all manufactured with a significant twist and it had to go back and I didn't want to wait another 10 weeks for another one. 😢 So I bought a Bodnik Mohawk hybrid, which I love.
Btw still waiting for news on the other interesting channel you and Jaime were talking about earlier in the year... any updates?
Sue thanks for the comment. Congrats on the Mohawk from what I hear it’s a sweet bow. Jaime and I are still working out the details for the channel. Hope to have some content soon.
We want to film but our schedules have been crazy. I hope soon.
Great video. Thanks for sharing. Is it difficult to learn to install the elevated rest and the plunger?
No it’s really easy. You will have to adjust the plunger for the spine of the arrow. There are plenty of great videos on how to do that.
How about a review on a ILF OMP Carbon Z 15" Riser, with Bosen Longbow Carbon limbs, detailed set up, brace height, tiller set up for both split finger, and 3 under, and after set up, show some shooting videos on the bow ?????
I'm down if I can get them to lend me a bow to shoot.
Hi :) thank you for great Video.
What kind of string silencer did you use on samick?
I have a Samick Discovery 45# and it’s very loudly when shoots.
Jax.
Are medium limbs from all companies the same length? Can you keep the same length string from one limb manufacturer to another?
Yes they should be close in length.
Noticed that the aluminum riser bow was quieter, is that more normal than not??
I have both these bows 😮
Happy Sunday brother catching up on some youtube time great. For me starting out is there a "common man" bow (if there is such a thing) ?
Depends on price point but I have a few options to get you started.
Great thanks for the reply
Your welcome my friend. Thanks for watching and supporting the channel.
I’m looking at getting an ilf for this hunting season but don’t know wht riser and limb length to go with …. I have a 28” draw and am trying to go with a 62 inch bow …. Do you think a 19” with medium limbs or a 17” with longs would work better ?
19 with medium should work great.
@@Wingman115 do I need to go up in weight on draw if I go with limbs rated for a 17” riser ?

Hi from Perth Western Australia can some one with back injury use 35 pound ilf 64 inch bow or are they beter off with compound bow ?? Cheers Ian
You can also get custom made extra long limbs
When I started archery I wanted a trad bow but got tricked by the salesman, you have to give him credit I ended up buying i-l-f bow system I hate all the extra gear you need for i-l-f bow system
With a one piece trad bow all you need extra is a glove & arm guard , arrows, quiver, & bag. And to get a good bow, all you need is £200.00 & it's just practice thousands of arrows to let loose to target.
you are super proud of hitting good with 3 under and point on at 10 yards.
Ole Tex always good for a negative comment. LOL
As I have mentioned before.....I really enjoy your archery content. I am not into all the survivalist stuff or animal hunting as I believe that you should only hunt if you have no other choice for food and then it should be done with a rifle, as a bow rarely provides a clean kill.
as a non hunter, you might want to consider commenting on 'clean' kills. Never seen man or animal die clean from a bullet short of execution delivery to the skull. Yeah, I know what I'm talking about.
